I may be butchering the actual title, but "Men Who Stare at Goats" looks really funny. And with McGregor, Spacey, Clooney, and more it's got quite the cast.
This is the water, and this is the well. Drink full, and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes, and dark within

But yeah, if Rob's scared by something on the movie screen, it's a flat out pass for me.

He's afraid of snow...  I wouldn't worry about it.  :-X  :-*

No way, I love snow.  I've only seen snow about 5 times in my life... I can't wait for snow.  Everyone else keeps telling me that i have no idea what's coming and that I'll hate snow pretty soon.

You have to put the glasses on!   :P

Ha.

I'm one of the small percentage of viewers for which current 3D tech is not effective (even with the glasses on).

The snow itself is great, it's the -40 temperatures and blowing winds that freeze your skin that suck.  :P

Nope.  20/20.  There's just a percentage of the populace who don't process the images the same way as most.

They are working on a new tech that work for everyone... they're electronic goggles that sync up with alternating images on the screen.  Each side has a shutter (think it's a chemical thing rather than a mechanical thing) that opens and closes 30 times per second.  So when the left image is on the screen, the left shutter will be open and the right will be closed.  Then they flip... right image, right shutter open, left shutter closed.  They flip so fast your eyes can't process the closed frames on either side.  And it produces a flawless 3D image.  That tech works for everyone.  Only problem is the glasses are expensive.  So they may not make it to movie theaters... it might be a home theater product.  They already have working prototypes they've shown off at game shows, and it would likely be compatible with the Playstation 3.

The Expendables - meh?

What's next, The Dependables!   :D

I'm geeked about Expendables.  I'm expecting the most action packed movie ever.

That actually looked like a bad ass movie, but trailers can be deceiving...  It also looked like a who's who of guys that looked ok circa 1984. :)

Was that Stone Cold Steve Austin?  Nice to see he's finally found something to do.  He was about all that made wrestling interesting for a while.

I can't believe you want to see this, Rob.

IMDB: The Expendables

Stalone, Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, and Schwarzenegger?

I'm with Rob - best action packed movie ever.  If they could only shoe-horn in Steve Bucsemi, The Rock, Steven Seagal, and JCVD, it might be the greatest movie ever made.   :o

Why in the hell are they making another Clancy novel into a movie stealing another Tom Clancy title and making a movie about it?
