Ruiner, I doubt the coins will be metal. They were plastic in 85, and I'm sure they will be plastic in 2007.

Taken from entertainmentearth.com:

Description:
Star Wars 30th Anniversary Figures Wave 1. Celebrate three decades of George Lucas' saga with this new assortment of action figures! Each new figure is loaded with accessories and includes a bonus metal collector's coin. Wave 1 includes 12 individually packaged action figures, including: 2x Galactic Marine, 2x R2-D2, 1x Mustafarian Lava Miner, 2x Obi-Wan Kenobi, 2x Utapau Airborne Trooper, 1x McQuarrie Concept Stormtrooper, 1x Mace Windu, and 1x Super Battle Droid. (Subject to change.)

Ruiner, good call.  Thanks for pointing that out.  I'm really surprised.  Kind of bummed out too.  Metal costs a lot more than plastic, and to me, these things are just a bit of nonsense.

toywiz.com has the case up for 79$

Toywiz is such a joke. Look at the prices for the individual figures. $19.99 for a Galactic Marine. Can you say scalping?

I know lots of people are happy about the case breakdown...but I for one am not. :(

My 3 most favorite figures from this wave (Mace, Lava Miner, SBD) are each 1 per case. And then they decide to put Obi and R2 as 2 per case.

Messed. Up.

Yeah, I really hope people don't want the Lava Miner and SBD in my area so I can get all of them.

These guys are crooks.  Their shop is located near me, and even though they have an account directly with Hasbro they still have buyers scouring the local stores for potential stock.  THEY STINK AND THEY'RE SCALPERS.

This isn't scalping.  A retailer can charge what they want for a figure.  A scalper has to CREATE THE SHORTAGE that they benefit from.  If a guy hangs out a TRU and grabs up all the clones, then turns around and sells them for profit, and you buy them beacuse you can't find them anywhere (because he got them all!), that's scalping.

I think what Nicklab is suggesting is that Toywiz actually sends employees out to the retail stores like Target, TRU etc. and buys up the hot figures as well.

I used to live in the area where Toywiz has their store.  They were formerly known as Wizard of Cards, used to pop in there when I got my haircut when I was a weee lad.  After 1995, their walls were frequently littered with the "hot" POTF2 figures like Yoda, stormtrooper, monkey leia etc, usually for between $12-18.

I don't know if they actually bought stuff at TRU and resold it at scalper prices, but I did so those guys in the Star Wars aisle at TRU all of the time, despite their account with Hasbro.  So, as logic would have it, scalping was probably their motivation.  I cannot claim that I ever saw them at the cash register though.

Well, if  that is the case, then they are scalpers.  I just see the word used too often to label anyone who sells figures over a certain price.

I've seen the general manager of the store and a number of their employees in both Target and Toys R Us stores filling shopping carts with not only Star Wars merchandise but other HTF collectibles as well.  And when you go into their brick & mortar store and you find current store exclusives marked up 300%, the situation is just galling.  How you cannot define that as scalping is a tough sell.
