Hey guys, thanks a lot for the nice thoughts, I appreciate that...  Thanks for posting the newspost for me Jay, I haven't had a lot of time to do as much online as I'd like to have.

Thanks a bunch though everyone...  On the picture though you really should applaud Ryan, as he is handling photos.  I just got a camera recently and still am not good at using it for online stuff, much less detailed picture shots.  :-[  Maybe someday, but actually my camera doesn't hook up to my own PC so I can't even get pics to my PC without DL'ing them elsewhere, blah blah blah...

Anyway, the review...

This week obviously was Chief Chirpa as linked above...  Lots of good stuff with the chief, and although I criticized his height in my review, that was before Hasbro actually mentioned the height in a recent Q&A as being more accurate on Chirpa than past Ewoks and not vice versa.  THough, if that is the case then now don't you all want Teebo, Logray, and Wicket resculpted?  Well I did anyway on Wicket but still, it just seems odd...  And Teebo now seems massive.  :-\   He's almost a Wookiee child now.

Anyway, I liked Chirpa despite the fact he's miniscule...  He came with some good accessories, especially the knife w/sheath, and they've pretty much maxed out Ewok articulation I think.  I really feel the Ewoks are underrepresented in the modern line though so I'm hoping for more...  I'm now torn on the height issue though and how I look at ALL past Ewok figures.   :-\  Just something that'll bother this scale nut I guess.

We'll be cranking out the rest of the Endor Wave over time...  Though ImperialScum, you'll have to wait on the Death Star Gunner.  He's not up next.  ;)  I was excited to review him too man, and thanks for the kind words because that's probably the nicest complement you gave saying that I actually influence your choices with my reviews...  I really do appreciate that (And your English is pretty great I think, and much better than some people who speak it as a first language sometimes, so no need to apologize, haha).  It's good to have you aboard here at JediDefender.com, I hope you make it a more routine stop!

Anyway guys, thanks for chiming in...  Always feel free to share your thoughts on any figure we review here at JD.

Another great review Jesse.   I do love Chirpa, despite his height also, though I haven't set him up side by side with any other ewoks.  I thought I had already read the response from Hasbro somewhere addressing the height issue.

However, if they already know there is a "perceived" value difference (the word they used), then why not offer 2 ewoks, as they have in the past (similarly with Jawas and Ugnaughts [sp???]).   There are still several vintage ewoks that still haven't been updated, so now that they have a new mold, they could have had a new head sculpt and used the same body, different paint application and new hood and updated Paploo, Warok, or the other vintage ewok that hasn't been updated.  You know we would buy up ewok 2-packs.   Like you said, ewoks have been underrepresented in the modern line.

Thanks to you man!

Yep, you do have helped me with my decisions 'cause sometimes they are very difficult to make. ;)
For example: to get a VTSC figure here in México you have to buy an lectronic lightsaber, the figure comes attached to the saber´s box and the retail cost is $380 pesos, about $35 dollars. >:(

So, I really tought I was going to skip this ones, but after reading your reviews, well, I just knew  I couldn't let that happen. I bought them on the Net, saved a lot of money, because as you say the figures are worth it.

That´s just an example of how useful your reviews are to me. :P

Chirpa, I think the "new" hight looks better with the rest of the figures, unfortunally I´ve jsut read on a a Hasbo´s Q&A that there won´t be any new ewoks sculpst s in the near future, so I´ve bought a couple of chirpas to "redecorate" them and have a nice little ewok army.

 Nos vemos pronto
 See ya soon

Good night, and good luck

I have a friend from Mexico that was going to school up here in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area actually, and he said it's rough collecting down south of the border. :(  I'm sorry to hear that man.

He was loading up on goods to take back to Mexico with him after he graduated.  Like he got an Ephant Mon off me that I had on a beat up card for a collector friend of his that lived back home and things.  Networking with the fellows online around here is a good way to go about getting what you need maybe though.  The classifieds are full of good deals.

Great review Jesse but Ewoks still suck.  Not even you can change that. ;)

I think the review was bigger than the figure. :P Still, I think it's a great figure, dispite the fact that it's an Ewok. In fact, if they ever put this guy on a VOTC card, I can't see how he could be improved.

About the only thing that could be done is a soft goods hood - but you're right it's tough to improve on this one.

That's what piques my curiosity about the discussion of potentially fleshing out the entire Vintage line in VOTC/VTSC style...  I mean, a "Vintage" styled Jawa just didn't appeal to me much because...  Well, what would you do?  Articulation could be improved with a cloth hood, and that'd be ok I guess but I wouldn't be ecstatic about $10 for a figure that small.

Then you have Chirpa, Wicket, Worak, Romba, Lumat, Teebo, etc....  Sure some of those figures NEED new figures, or need made period, but will they be good $10 figures?  Or Ugnaughts?

Or what about droids like the Death Star Droid?  They've proven with VOTC 3PO that a figure like that is gonna get the shaft...

Stuff like that really makes me NOT want those figures done in the VOTC line because, well, it just seems pointless on some level, and at a jacked up price for everything you should expect and get in the basic line.  :(

Anyway...  Yeah, Chirpa was a fun little bugger...  Especially since Hasbro seems to be implying they are changing Ewok sculpts to be more accurate and I'm hoping that means resculpts of the few made, and many new sculpts of unmade ones too.  I gotta be honest guys, I'm an Ewok fan myself...  They didn't ruin ROTJ for me, but were rather a fond memory from my childhood (ROTJ was my most memorable SW film since I was 6 or so at the time).

Chirpa rocks...  I just wish we got more Ewoks, especially generic warriors for fuzzball swarms.
