Oh, and I was unbanned at Scum but I'm taking a break, for a possibly extended period...  I figured it pertinent to update my status though, and "play fair" with that.  I was unbanned a couple days ago but too busy to get on letting anyone know.

Fortunately, I've spam blocked it. GMail is great for blocking spam. I filter all my email thru it.

I just saw the message that someone else got, I have yet to receive it. However, it does actually have an opt-out message at the bottom. The question is, what happens when you opt-out, do they take you off the list, or do they remove your forums account.

update: the guy who sent me the email has sent a reply to ask to be removed from the list, time to see what the response will be. hopefully it will be the right one.

Should be interesting to see if I got it at my work email on Monday - the one that they were supposed to remove from the list.

Either way, I'm going to go ahead and lock this and merge it with the other one.  If the other guys decide that they want to reopen the larger thread in light on this recent spamming, we'll do that - but until then, the word is that we're going to take a break from the rebelscum bashing.

That didn't take to long for this to be reopened.   

I never got the second email so at least me being removed from there means I won't get another email from that site again.  I just wish I could log in and comment on Scapler dude problem.  ANyone know his Ebay id so we can see if the second Yoda goes on it or not?

I'm officially gone from the RS forums.  I was in contact with Philip, and he said that the emails were a term that had to be agreed upon to use their forums.  So, I opted for voluntary banning so that I won't get their spam.  Hell, I don't need them.

Looks like all of the threads asking all those questions were just deleted and the final terms of the deal are:  Accept our spam as is or get the hell out - and don't bother asking questions, they won't be answered.

Good for you! I havent received this Spam, so it looks like I'm actually deleted and not banned like Dustin made it seem.
