I don't quite understand how one member could be wiped, while others were not. The forums they use store information in one central database and unless someone manually deleted pieces of the table by accident, there is no way that certain members were deleted. I mean, I suppose a freak accident where select tables became corrupt could have happened, but I have NEVER seen or heard of that.

That's too bad. Mine still works; then again I only have 4 posts so it wouldn't be a big loss if I was deleted.

GNT was posting as well. Wouldn't that be funny if he was wiped too. :P

That would be beyond classic.

I guess sometimes that happens over at RS.  I thankfully haven't lost my account.  I knew that the forum had gone down Friday but I immediately closed the page.  I seriously doubt that had anything to do with it but who knows.  Then, I saw it had been fixed so I just figured it crashed.  Computers have a funny way of doing things with websites.  I think sometimes they are possessed. :)  I am really sorry to hear that some people's accounts got deleted :(  I know you lose the amounts of posts you had when that happens and your status.  Then, you have to re-register and re-integrate yourself back into the forums.  Bummer!!!

And I'm STILL banned over there so I guess they didn't lose my info.

If this had happened to GNT it would reduce that forum to about 1 meg of info.  In less than 24 hours, he'd be back to the most prolific poster on thos boards though.  :o
This is the way.

I have spoken.

GNT was not effected. :P

So far, the loss count is only three, but other anomolies are have occured. For example, one guys has the date stamp of August 8th on all posts. Others can't post pictures or create post links. Perhaps there are larger issues. :-\

Their forum software has grown beyond itself and gained self-awareness, and even it realizes it should leave.   ;)

So far I've heard very little from the RS Staff. When the forum goes down, I would assume everyone works like the Dickens to get things back up an running. How long should it take to figure out what happened to our files?

I would be amazed if any of the forum members hear anything, since none of them are advertisers on the site.   :)

Well, as Lord Wise has said about the TFN forums, he could shut them all down in a moment's notice if he wanted, so I would assume he's not all that concerned about the RS forums either.

Well, since RS is basically Hasbro's surrogate shill these days (when they're not shilling for their advertisers or Wise's autograph "business") this probably applies.

"We are aware that there is a great demand for the forums to return and files to be restored and we are actively seeking ways to bring the forum back to the site."

OR

"We can't discuss that right now.  But keep your eyes on rebelshill.com for the latest updates!"   ;D

Hmmmm. Maybe GNT figured out a way to delete the accounts and incoporate the deleted post counts into his own. ::) ;)
