Those guys are pathetically sad over there.  You asked a perfectly valid question Jeff, about "practicing what you preach" or setting an example for others to follow, and instead of their guys saying "hey, you're right, we should probably remove all of the links from our own sigs before punishing our members for having them in their sigs", they totally freak out about JD once again.  I don't get it.  Well, I do get it, but I'm still always shocked by it...

I'm also quite curious as to why they're allowing one of their moderators to openly support both scalping and pornography in the RS forums.  Now that's really bizarre...  ???

Scum is seriously going downhill. The mods there tell you to PM them with things you have problems with, and when you do you get read reciepts but no replies; then they ignore you and continue in their ways.

All this high horse moderating bull**** is seriously making me sick. I'm not bashing you guys for bashing Scum. What I mean is that the admins at Scum are so obsessed with keeping members that anyone who mentions another site is severly scolded.  ::) Thats what I LOVE about JD; the mods and staff act like you are real and don't act condescending.

Just my 2 cents.

I love how they edited Jeff's sig there.

Or did Jeff do that himself?

I look at it more as us just wanting to be part of the gang here at JD, no better and no worse than any of our "regular" members around here.  We just do a few official site duties on the side is all.  But I can pretty much guarantee you that the staff/mods here could honestly care less about silly titles, power, or any of that other nonsense, unlike at other places where that's all that seems to matter, which is unfortunate.

I feel exactly the same way. It's good to have a refuge here from the other crap that goes on at other sites!

Keep up the good work!

Hmmmm, why does that sound familiar?

maybe it was one year but it's the same

on those boards you can find threads about the "10 000 posts club"

they seem very proud of it, it's really a pity they can't type French correctly

GNT isn't exactly a role model as far as moderators go, but I do think he's better than he used to be.  Could just be that he doesn't post as much as he used to, or that I don't spend enough time there anymore to get annoyed.

Anyways, I'm surprised I haven't gotten any warnings, as me and a few other people mention this site quite a bit in their customizing section (the only section there I really visit).

You'll probably get a warning now, Justin, since the RS staff/admin are likely watching this very thread here.  I got banned at RS for some stuff I said about Phillip and Dustin over here at JD (it had nothing to do with me hollerin' at Matkatnadam/MisterKenobi about him bragging about his scalping, as he always loves to claim), so you may have just got yourself into some hot water here!  :P

As far as GNT goes, I probably won't ever be able to get that one response out of my head that he made publicly to some of their members:  "I'm God, so live with it."

Very reminiscent of some of Phillip's responses to "issues" over there:  "Because I said so, that's why."

Yeah, I'd say they've got some problems.  Heh.

I do occassionally post there but  . . . . for the most part is to try and bring some balence to a discussion. What I've learned is that my 11 and 12 year old students in my sixth grade class are often far more mature then most of the posters there. What I think is extremely funny is how the heck can someone ban you from a site for something you did on another site? Man, talk about facism . . . but we don't want to go there. Then again, the title of the site says it all, rebelscum; ie the fact that rebels are scum and they are the empire. At least here the Jedi ideals of individuality, creativity, flexibilty are shown and welcomed! No wonder its called JediDefender!

I think it's that he posts less Justin.  He still posts inanely stupid replies, one-liners, etc...  He adds little to conversation, if anything, so why speak ya know?  His arrogance though is still there clear as day, and that means he'll never be a quality moderator or member.

I read there from time to time, I go elsewhere too...  It's how I have always been.  That place has gone further and further into the abyss.  They can't control half their membership, they aren't even reactive the majority of the time to any real problem...  And like Matt said, things like scalping are pretty much accepted iwth open arms over there by not just the staff but also the membership.  That's so pathetic considering that "Collect to Collect" bull**** they claim to live by.  If that was the case, anyone gloating about ebaying **** they just bought would have gotten a warning at the very least.  It'd raise eyebrows here I can assure you.

It's depressing in a way considering what used to be there prior to Philip Wise crashing and burning that place.  Now the big thing to do is sticky your latest "ad" for your ****** overpriced clamshells you are shilling to your members.  Like I'd want Rebelscum panties or whatever the **** he's putting out there to attach his name/label to the Star Wars mythos.  If there ever was a clearer visual definition of a leech, I can't think of it.  Like old PWise said once though (loose quote), "I should have supported Lord of the Rings because they treat their fan sites better".  That summed up a lot for my forming opinion.

Jeff made a valid point, and like in the past over there he paid the price many others have.  You point out you don't want spam (which is all it was) nor your accounts being shared with anyone and you are told to either leave, shut up about it, or take your banning.

And speaking of his "holyness" I think its funny that he's registered here since 2003 but yet to make a single post. And yet he doesn't know how to spell in his signature. He must of been in a hurry to register his name so no one else would use it.  ::)

Anyone care to PM me the Bertha pic if they still have it? I never saw it, and I could use a laugh.

So you make fun of people because of the way they look. Hmm kind of shallow isn't it!! Let me guess, you're 6'5, blond, tan, ripped, and have a winning smile, right, the perfect guy!! Let's see...post a pic of yourself!!

You know it's sad to think that a way a person looks can, and will, get them ridiculed by people like Diddly here!! For whatever way people have advanced, folks like Travis here show we haven't!! The elitists that look down on those who are different!!

Let me guess Travis, you and your buddies make fun of gays, lesbians, blacks, jews, mexicans, mentally handicapped, any other group that aren't like you and your kind, but I'm sure you use words other than what I did!! Come on, why not show everyone what you're really like!!

Well then, why would you get a laugh out of my supposed pic then?? What would be the reasoning??

Are you talking about coming over to the scum and starting yet another account??? How is that the same as this??? Totally different, and not even a good use of the term pottle calling the kettle black!!

You know....I think that was a pretty mean comment too.  Although I've had more than a few laughs at the expense of Gregg's photoshopped mug, I know that Lady Jaye is extremely sensitive about her identity getting "out there".  I've never understood why....but that's why I never reposted her picture anywhere and why I only call her by her name over here....where it seems like everyone is on a first name basis.

But yeah...I can understand why she wouldn't want to when someone says they want her picture "for a laugh".
