Chris, I am in the same boat that I am tired of seeing people talk about it.  My point was mainly to quit bashing them, just quit talking about them... but I guess people still want to.

It seems like this topic comes up a lot when I am using AIM with several members here.  I still go there mainly because of the customizing community, which really is my main reason for getting online in the first place.

But with all these daily ads 'promoting' Dustin, (making me want to read more and more alternative SW sites) I figured I'd through in my 2 cents...with the help of some others. We think it’d be great to have a guy that manages to make collecting so much NOT FUN for local people...if they disagree with him or the "inner circle" not to mention how he speaks to his fellow club members publicly when they disagree...I submit for your perusal...something that was dug up and sent to me...this is only the last part of the flame, but the best part. Personally, I'd endorse that crazy guy from North Korea first...

The Back story involved the Planning of the Summer Annual OSWCC geekfest, where nerds from all over Ohio leave Mama's basement, not to go to Target or Walmart but to meet other geeks…The member berated by D was a musician and offered to perform his music at the gathering…the next Slammed Club president (you know he’ll win, he has friends that would love to buy fan club memberships for friends for a years worth of free advertising) publicly berated his 'fellow collector' because he didn't like him...nice guy.

Yeah, it probably needs some updating.  But the "endorsement announcements" (not plugs) seem to have slowed down quite a bit, though.  So either they've run out of SW-related websites to pester into "endorsing" Dustin, or they've finally realized that this campaign is really starting to annoy the **** out of people.

I forgot to mention one of my favorite flame wars on OSWCC. The Vintage Collecting "Inner Circle" think they are geeks that are above us moderm collectors because, as Dustin said Modern collectors are just Walmart shoppers, where the vintage collectors have had to work at building their collection through networking...

Sorry D-bag...I never found an Eopie, or FAO Maul speeder game or other many things at a Walmart...but you can't argue with them. They are always right...

I'm surprised they haven't moved Dustin down to The Big D altogether to be Pappy Wise's personal sponge bath boy.  I mean, that's what he is online; why not make it a real life thing, too?
