Wow -- I feel like I'm somebody now.  I've been banned from BanthaSkull.com  ???

For some reason, I doubt you have been banned.  We've only banned four people, ever.  One being Mr Grak.

PM and let me know if you're having problems signing in over there.

Hey guys, it's the internet.

******* relax.

I could, but it's a real pain. Especially when I go swimming in the ocean. Then sand and stuff gets lodged up in there and I'm itchy down south for hours. Takes me many more hours on top of that to clean both the swim suit itself and my nether regions. Stupid internetting.

Forgive our indifference and lack of sympathy, but we've seen this movie, too - over five years ago. For some of us, who have been around since the BHC days, you'd have to have a really sensational story to shock or surprise us with any Rebelscum antics, because we've kind of been there, done that, and gotten over it.

Ever the contrarian....at least there's some activity with respect to Gentle Giant and other higher end stuff.  It's pretty lonely around here and I have to admit to going back there to read about that stuff.  Mind you some of that is pretty grating as well.

That said the last time I posted at Scum, about four years ago I got berated by some guy in a thread about deleting inactive members which I took exception to.  He'd been registered for a couple of months and had more posts than I'd managed there in about 5 years.  Sigh.

Funny, everytime someone bumps this thread and mentions the newbs and their insane post counts I'm reminded of how I had 3000 posts there my first year, whereas in 5 years of posting here at JD I've racked up... 2700? And my posts here are longer and more thought out (YMMV  ;)) than they were at RS. Just goes to show you that quantity ISN'T quality.

Also I second the "I still visit RS for one particular forum", I go back there for the Local Finds section, which is pretty much dead here unless you live in Minnesota or Los Angeles. :)

I'll give you that - the vintage section isn't too bad either.  It's really the modern sections and Wuher's that are nothing but a cess pool mess of topics and posts.

Waste of bandwidth? Just to get into the Q&A? People could say that about Jedi Defender. Every site has to start somewhere. Unless this site started on top.
