I sure hope JD doesn't commit to this kind of failure someday.   ;)

I hear there are five golden tickets randomly put into the remaining stock. If you get one, you get to tour Philip Wise's house!!

So does this mean that Willrow Hood, a random background character backed by JD and was predicted to lead to the death of Star Wars merchandise if he was ever made into a figure, is more popular than Lt. Renz, a random background character backed by and responsible for the creation of the most popular Star Wars collecting website of all time?

Seems to me the $8 basic figure had a better chance than the expensive bust did. I'm no expert, but.......

I think that nails it on the head pretty well for the key difference.  Mind you I've spent just about as much on a certain basic figure as I did on a certain bust.  Wish I'd had the brains to wait for the clearance. :-[

That said, I'm still entertained by the notion that Diddly puts forward.   :D

I understand the difference too, but let's just say that you can't find a Willrow anywhere, and certainly not on clearance. ;)

OK, you guys caught us...

The Wilrow Hood Bust will be out next year, sold only through JD, and it'll be more than $8.  We expect it to blow the doors off Lt. Renz though.

Ours has sound as well, when you push a button on it.  It says, "Thanks Scott!", and that's it.

Someone please explain to me why Dan Curto's art is part of an official trading card line?  This looks like a fifth grader drew it.

Dan's worked at sketching/drawing since he was younger I think...  I recall him mentioning that to me at one point anyway, and it's something I think he's strived to do professionally.  I'm assuming he submitted his works to Topps and got picked up by them.

I'm no artist though to know what the process is though, not by a longshot.  I'm a stick figure kind of guy.  :-\

To be fair, some of his cards are pretty damn good. I suggest folks take a look at them. Yeah, this one is not the best, but it is a sketch after all. Some of the others from "pro" illustrators can hardly be called sketches.  :P
