Hey Oboewan, I too would like to see some pics of your unboxing event. Sounds like you're having fun freeing the ships and figures, though.
On a similar note, I decided to open some of my carded figures. I started with  UGH Han, Kenobi, Skywalker, and Cody, along with Celebration 3 Darth Vader. I already had a loose UGH Grievous, so now he doesn't look so lonely. I have a UGH Snowtrooper, Scorch, Vader, AT-AT Driver, and Fett left to open. I can't wait to free them.
Oh, Oboewan, sorry about derailing your thread. I just thought this might fit in here.

not C3 Vader! I'm gonna faint. Dont open UGH Scorch hes not worth it.

I hate to agree with PD but Scorch is not worth opening.  The figure looks nice in plastic but once you open it you are in for a series of dissapointments. :-\
You are never alone when there's a clone.

Hey Gatillo, what did you mean with the dissapointments with Scorch? I opened it and I like it. He could've used some knee joints, but I knew what I was getting with him.

Pit Droid- The C3 Darth Vader is really nice when it's open. The figure kind of stinks though, but the base makes the perfect home for my Evolutions Darth. It also looks nice next to the Darth figure with meditation chamber.

I had a similar "unboxing" event earlier this year.  After spending all of last year stationed in Korea, I returned home to pretty much all of the Episode III stuff reeased up to February '06.  My wife was kind enough to track down pretty much all of the 3 3/4" figures as well as the deluxes and a few other items.  I have always been 99% an opener, but found it very hard to tackle such a nice, carded, collection of stuff all at once.  I put it off for quite a while and then, one day....

Now that's the kind of carnage I'd like to see in this "Great Unboxing of 06" thread!!  I'm a boxed/carded collector so seeing pictures like this brings a tear to my eye, yet it shows me how much space I could save if I could just toss my OCD.   :-\

I'll contribute too (ok, so they're not regular action figures, but they were still damn fun to open):

Well.... 12" Greivous has been freed... what a crappy figure it is though!   His weak, tiny hands can't even grasp a single lightsaber... not to mention all 4 of them!   I'll have to get some of the "bands" and use those for posers... err... posES I meant..
Also unleashed my remainng Collector Series 12"ers... Sandtrooper, Modal Nodes, ATAT, TIE Pilot, Tusken, Greedo, Luke Bespin, Luke Ceremonial.   Still holding on to my SAGA Jawas and Obi-Wan.

I'll try and get some pics up this week!

I had the exact same review when I opened mine last year.  I actually turned him into a statue and glue the joints so that it would stand properly.  I'm considering getting the arms casted so that they aren't as flimsy.

Worst figure of 2005 IMHO.

cool, can't wait to see it all. I'm an opener myself except for certain exclusives but to me it's no fun keeping stuff boxed up and since my son is into SW, he has a blast!
