I had hope by the cloth robes covering Mace that there might be a hidden jem.

Wow, that was a stupid thought. ::)

Its an pass for me too, it looks FANTASTIC. Kids will probably go nuts for this,   I will wait for it in the clearance.

Looks like another steaming pile of crap.

With ya totally on the "pile of crap" part, but if there were steam coming off it, it would be considered an improvement.

Somehow this has surfaced at a Chicago TRU already. Apparently it's actually TSC not 30th.

I already have the ROTS Agen, Saesee, and Kit. And I don't need the Mace since I'll get one in the Windu squadron BP. And while I don't have that version of Palpy, I'm obviously not going to buy this set just for him.

However, I'm trying to figure out what (if any) parts of the Chancellor's office come in this set. I can't tell from the boxed pictures....

I'd bet that all of the office "props" are cardboard.

Who's the sorry sap that bought both of those sets?

Yep, they look cardboard to me as well.

I'd possibly buy the Jedi/Sidious one on clearance just to get the robes. Otherwise an easy pass at full price.

This should have just been issued at the clearance price to get it over with.  No point dragging out the inevitable.

If they wanted this to sell they should have thrown some brand of clone trooper in there.

 ;)

I can't believe there are still completists in this hobby who go out to Target, banging down the stock room door if necessary, waiting to exhale while the stock boy brings these overpiced pieces of garbage out of the stockroom at $25 plus tax a pop.

It's no wonder Hasbro keep pushing this on us.

If I'm gonna pay $25 for this set, I better get 14 points of articulation on all 5 figures, and soft goods.  NOT a salt shaker Palpatine that just came out last year, a Mace that is an inch too short with too long "monkey arms", and 3 other figures that I already have.

Gimme a break already.  Hasbro can, and has, done much better than this crap.

I'm planning on buying this set for custom purposes.  Its got several very good Jedi bodies and soft goods robes.  The Palpy figure has some potential for other customs too.  However, if I were just a carded collector I could easily pass.  Hopefully these do hit clearance, I'd definitely buy a couple.

You could always get a salt and pepper shaker 2 pack at the Dollar Tree and save a few bucks, if you wanna go that route.
