I'm trying to amass a set of carded this year (only because I love the character specific artwork) and have realized that one of each character (variation) is suffice.

I think I found a new varation on the Sandtrooper and Imperial officer.
The Sandy is totaly white even its shoulder pad is white no color varition and its clean.

I also ran across an imperial officer that had redish color for its hair, and I wasnt the brown hairded, one because they had that one also!

I saw that same Sandtrooper the other day, too.  I passed.  I own WAY too many Sandtroopers for my own good.

The all white Sandy sounds like variation 3 of this figure.  There are three imperioal officers as well - dark hair, blonde hair and a light brown hair version (maybe looks redish to you).
Climbed a mountain & never came back. I will not quit & I always fight back
From this moment for all my life. What could I say? Was born to be this way. And what could I say?  Just livin' for today

The easiest way to classify the Imperial Officers is to look at the original releases.

-The POTJ version has dark hair and the biggest head.
-The SAGA versions come in blonde and brown hair.  The brown haired SAGA version has a smaller head than the POTJ version.  And the size difference in the two heads is almost reminiscent of the difference in head size with the vintage Han Solo figures.

This might be a dumb question, but for 2008 is the only "Saga Legends" we will see is more shipping of the current batch (from this year), and the "Fan's Choice" wave?  I was just curious if we should be looking for any other "new" Legends prior to the Fan's Choice wave or not, at least from what we know.

I think all that is planned for 2008 so far is:

Confirmed:
 Legends Commander Neyo (fan choice)
Legends Covert Ops Clone Trooper (fan choice)
 Legends Shadow Stormtrooper (fan choice)
Legends Utapau Shadow Trooper (fan choice)
 Legends Zev Senesca (fan choice)
Legends Pit Droids [v4 - white, tan toolbox] (shown at Dallas con)
Legends Pit Droids [v5 - maroon, tan toolbox] (shown at Dallas con)
Legends Pit Droids [v6 - orange, tan toolbox] (shown at Dallas con)
Legends Sandtrooper [Evolutions? sculpt, Black Pauldron, Dirty] (according to the Hasbro Q&A)
Legends Sandtrooper [Saga-037 sculpt, Black Pauldron, Clean] (according to Curto)
Legends Sandtrooper [Evolutions sculpt, White Pauldron, Dirty] (according to Curto)
Legends 501st Legion Trooper [v2 - #41 sculpt, clean] (according to Curto)

Plus, I'm sure, re-shipments of some of the 2007 Legends to fill out the cases.

Wow all those figures and the only one that remotely interests me is the Neyo and that's only because I never found the original

If I'd have known about the Zev, I'd probably have skipped buying the Snowspeeder since I'm not fond of the reddish repaint.  I'll check out those Sandtroopers though- but I'm not trying to get every variation, just ones I think look the best.

My guess is because they dont have to spend any money to develop new ones. They have the 7 coins already so why not. I want a silver EU coin anyway. I wouldnt be surprised though if perhaps the fan choice wave is the only one with the coins and then they phase it back to stands.
