Very Cool set indeed.  I think I still have a dozen of those Target Clones to go with them too.

I am not buying PT stuff next year, but this is definately tempting.

What sculpt are they using for these 2?  One looks like it has the ATTE Gunner arms...(sadly)
No they are SA by most of the pictures.

By the pics I've seen (and I've seen some HUGE close ups  ;)), both appear to use the 2003 Clone Wars sculpt (which was the same sculpt that was used for the Target version of this trooper).

As promised, JD.com has some more news on this set...  As per our front page.

Neyo and his Grunt sure do appear to be using the 2003 sculpt like Jeff said, at least to me that's what it appears to be...  Nice looking figures, and definitely with 2 bikes it makes a nice set, even for $20.  A little rough to army build, but the bikes are probably some of the nicer vehicles to come out of 2005 really when you think about it.

Check out the story on the front page though or clicky the images above to see the close-ups.

Hasbro is over-doing themselves next year. Not one crappy re-pack/ crappy choice to re-hash next year! This could of been the Gunner sculpt! :-X

You are obviously using selective memory to forget about the Saga Legends line then... seems to be plenty of crappy repacks in there.   ;)

This set looks great and it is just like Hasbro to throw us a bone amongst all the crap they are throwing out in 2007.  They have to do/get some things right eventually.

I hope that this opens the doors for Hasbro to retool the aging Speederbike mold so they can release a similar set such as this for the OTC.  2 VtSC Scouts on new bikes - I'd be all over that.

The BARC sculpt maybe was the best vehicle of '05...  I'm happy to get them in the set.  A new speederbike is needed though, and JD asked about one in a past Q&A and Hasbro sounded very receptive and interested in the idea, so it might happen.

If they do one, I'd love to see a clear stand with it like the Library Droid had...  Something for the hovering effect would be nice.

These figures look friggin' great to me...  I'm wondering though, how will they sit on the bike if they use the '03 sculpt?  It's not known to move much at the leg without sort of prying outward at the hip.  That could spell some warping issues on these.  Think along the lines of how the Utapau Trooper warped at the hip because of how he's packaged in a running pose.
