Some kubs prefer to be displayed on a card, though.

Haha, lemme caption that pic ^

What's this world come to!?!?  People are not only switching Hasbro figures, but carded Kubricks and returning them too?  ::)

But really, if I ever get my hands on one of those Kubricks it'll stay sealed until the end of time  :o

I've kept anything I've bought MOC since I started collecting back in '96. The only exception I make now is for any type of Kubrick and that includes the Star Wars line.

While I haven't been lucky enough to score any tough to get chases or special figs like the Jorg, if I happen to get a chance to pull a chase or purchase one of those special figs, they'll be happily opened put on display with the rest of the counterparts on my shelf.  ;D

StealthTank, that is awesome.  The opened Jorg, and the pic with Papa Smurf in there.  Congrat's to everyone who has gotten their series 6 cases so far.  Mine will be here tomorrow, should have been today, but it's a holiday.

So do you guys buy master cases rather than pay the $100+ for chases on ebay?

It kills me that this new wave is so cool and imperial heavy, let alone the awesome chases. Snaggletooth or a poncho Han I can live without but knowing that there are Imperial officers I could have in my collection is a little too much to bare.

I brought the chases, as you cannot always be sure to get the chase figures from a mastercase.  Esp as there seems to be a split between mastercases sent to Japan or Hong Kong.

Welcome to JediDefender konakazi.  :)

Series 1 was the only set I bought as a box of 12, I ordered 2 boxs but one was for Brent. I was lucky to pull a ROTJ Boba chase & bought the other online. The rest of the series were all MC's, never had a problem pulling the chases out tho series 4 was the only one I did not get I think it was a Luke chase as I open 3 boxes & the other went to the US sealed. I did manage to get him from that other box.  8)

So it works for me that the hunt is on just for one chase figure for the set, pretty happy about that.  :)

Well I had to move some stuff into my parents place this morning as I will be taking over the house in the near future & when I returned, I missed the Postal truck by 45 minutes. I can pick up the parcels after 5pm today. I'm looking forward to opening these suckers up.  ;D

Matt B, stand by.  ;)

Thanks for the welcome, DSJ!  ( love your icon )

So where do you guys get these master cases? How much are they? Do you just sell off your duplicates on eBay afterwards?

Sorry for the inevitable rookie / n00b questions...  :P

Some people get them from Hobby Link Japan (HLJ) & others from RoBBy.jp.

HLJ will run around $91.26 US plus shipping per box of 12. Minus 5% if you get in on the Early Bird preorder speical. Kubrick Star Wars #6: 1 Box (12pcs)

RoBBy will run around $60.00 US, normally $91.36 US per box of 12 plus shipping & handling cost plus 3% on credit card payment charge. Based on todays rate.

Anyone can order from HLJ but from RoBBy, you have to be a dealer (store) or your out of luck.

I know this thread is long but have a looky through the 409 pages & see how we progressed through this line.  :)

Both my MC's arrived today, it was worth the trip to the PO but customs was a killer.  :-\

$46.61 on both, $8.00 was the handling fee but it was all on one slip.

Now to pick a MC & open it up, the other will remain sealed & will be rerouted to the US.  :)
