Sorry guys. a bit excited I was. Very cool about these figures. I wonder what the chase figures will be. Maybe a removable helmet Vader.

Don't they usually do a completely different figure as one chase and a slightly modified figure as another? Maybe (hopefully) one of the chase figures will be a biker scout or snowtrooper. Otherwise, the guess of a holo Emperor and RH Vader looks good.

Gotta start saving my nickels and dimes for a stormtrooper.

Well, for Chases,

Series 1 had 2 Fett chases and both were simple color variants on the arm-bands.

For Series 2, there was 1 simple Color Variant (Sandtrooper), 1 accessory variant (Cantina Band Dude), and 1 unique figure (Indy).

For Series 3, there was 1 simple "accessory" variant (vinyl cape Jawa) and TWO unique figures as chases - Carbonite Sickness Han and Logray.

That's the fun part about Kubricks - no one knows how many chases or what they will be until they are released!  There could be 3 unique figures, or maybe only 1 chase - no guarantees!

And yes, by fun I mean "fun" right up until you realize you have to start chasing figures.   :P

I'm hoping that your guess is right.  I would love to see a Biker Scout or Snowtrooper.

Royal Guard
Imperial Dignitary

Stormtrooper (w/Rifle):
Biker Scout

Snow Trooper

Bespin Luke Skywalker (w/Pistol and Lightsaber):
Dagobah Luke

Hoth Luke
Wampa Chow Luke
Yoda
Lobot
Bespin Guard

Hoth Han Solo (w/Pistol):
Blue Coat Hoth Han
Hoth Leia
Hoth Chewie

Nien Numb (w/Pistol):

When it comes to these guys, there are so many dang possibities!

That's because the image is composed of 3 separate .gif files.  Here's what it should look like combined:

Any thoughts on the potential case breakdown?  That may help more so in guessing at chase figures.  Will they stick with the 4/3/2/1/1/1 ratio or will they mess with it?  My guess is it will stay the same, they have no real good reason to change it.

4 Stormtrooper - makes sense from an army building perspective and Medicom has demonstrated that for the most part they have a good grasp on the collecting marketplace.

3 - Vader.  Probably, given the overwhelming popularity of the character in both PT and OT.  I could see this being 4 per box rather than the stormie though.  I'd consider the number fairly interchangeable and cannot see Vader being less than 3 per box as a regular, he's just too popular.

2 - This one feels fairly up for grabs, could be Emperor, Han or Luke.  Luke would be logical and a nifty way to part with spares of Vader, you could sell them as two packs to folks.  This is probably where my guess will end up as we don't really have an easily accessible Luke for most people.

1 - Nien Nunb I think is a no brainer here.  Gratuitous alien that doesn't otherwise fit the series.  He's an alright character, but not a must-have in any line so singles are the best way to ensure value and popularity.

1- Emperor.  He's cool and instrumental to both trilogies (depending on what you call him at a given moment in time) but is almost in that boat with Nien.  He's far more important to the overall story, but if it's an OT lineup, he's really only in the one movie in a significant fashion.  I think they can get away with him as a single.  Depends on the homage to ROTS as well though, where his role will be the largest.

1 - Han Hoth.  I'm not convinced he should be a single figure but given we already have two Han figures as it is, I think he will be.  Great character, but I don't think there'd be a lot of complaints if he was only one per box, Han fanatics aside.

I could see them evening out the stormtrooper/vader/luke ratio to three of each and that would increase the odds a bit for the chase pieces.

I'm leaning towards chase versions of the stormtrooper (alternate figure entirely - tie pilot, snowtrooper, etc.) and then minor variations on Luke (battle damaged or clean?) and Vader (RH, lightning head).  No matter how you cut it, it's going to be a mighty cool line.

Wonder if Luke and Vader will have removable hands?

Some interesting ideas, I still think that the RH Vader could be the re-tooled chase and I would love a Royal Guard so I wouldn't mind him as a chase.

I think a holo Emperor is a possibility, but then again they could go the carded route with that.

Sadly, I guess Yoda coul dbe a possibility and then well we will all be screwed. Who doesn't want a little Yoda.

Alright...  This thread's gotten a bit too long, so it's once again time to start anew, in JD Kubrick thread #6 - Attack of the Kubricks!  Might find some Series 4 news there to start things off.

See ya' there.   ;)

Wow, 3 pages into this already!

I am very happy with assortment, to say the least. 3 of my most wonted
figures in one swoop, sweet!

I don`t even want to think about the chase figs yet...

My bet's on a Hoth Luke as a chase.  They can't keep doing Hans.  Also, I got pretty close on my custom Nien Numb, didn't I?  Tony

Pretty darn close Tony.  8)

How many more Han's and Luke's do we need? Whom ever is designing them must have good knowledge of SW's.

Let's see Han Hoth... I can see a Hoth Luke with Taun Taun as a box set and maybe include Hoth Leia. Oops, getting ahead of myself again.  ;D

I really would like to see a Yoda as a chase.
