Hey jedismack!  Join in whenever you'd like!

I just finished crunching my numbers for the year so far and it's been a much more fiscally responsible.  But I guess having another child and a wife on maternity leave will do that.  ;)  Selling a bunch of stuff that's been sitting in my closet has helped and I've got a whole lot more to get rid of still.

        Net             Gross            (Sorry, all $$ in CDN funds :P)
Jan  $247.56       $702.76
Feb  $138.03       $309.05
Mar    $31.24      $432.65
Apr   -$26.04      $535.00
May  $216.05      $283.84
Jun   $674.12      $674.12
Jul     $31.40        $41.40
Aug  $490.86      $490.86

Year to date:
      $1722.22    $3388.68

Good Grief Dale!! What the heck have you been buying???  You make me feel so much better though  :-*

Oh way too much, SW & my other non SW focuses.  ;D

Thus far I am about to break my 2004 record. $249.02 US to go for the tie & just over 4 months till year end.  :o

OK, time for my tally:

2004 = $9858.00 US. Approx.
2005 = $6000.00 to $8000.00 US.
2006 = $7343.60 US.

Well the $$$ have dropped over the past few years but not by much, not collecting modern anymore really didn't help as I was focusing on other stuff.  :-\

What will the new year bring, hopefully less.  :P

What will the new year bring...  :P

More expensive space ****. :-*

Ahhh yeah, more expensive space ****.  ;D

Tally thus far... $9608.98 US:o   :o  ;D

With my new purchases since my last post, I have shattered my old record.

New record... $10,325.00 US. Oy!

About 3,000.00 dollars over the last year, uptill now.  And believe me I could have spent more but I am nearly upto date on the figures I wanted (I wont say need because in reality I dont need them).  Its good to be able to use Amazon UK with a UK Address as sometimes you can score cheaper figures over there, especially when your playing catch up.

I'm nowhere near that ballpark this year, thank goodness.  I don't think I made all that much progress in slowing down last year, but this year was a lot better.  I think I only bought one Master Replicas item all year.  I did do a fair bit of Gentle Giant stuff, but all told I think that's maybe a grand at the outside.  Kubricks were sparse and I had a good connection so my prices were low.  I only bought a single Sideshow item too.  Hasbro was really pretty small in comparison and the other lines were pretty minimal as well. :)

I'm impressed and just a little freaked out too :)

I'm pretty proud of myself, I managed to cut my costs way down this year, only one month to go.

 Net Spending        Gross Spending
 $2,305.11             $4,690.63

(Which means I managed to sell $2,385.52 worth of stuff.  Woah.)

For 2007, I spent $5067.63, but sold $2385.52, for a net spending of $2682.12.

(the numbers don't match up perfectly since I subtracted eBay costs in my selling profits)

I've definitely toned things down since I first started tracking my expenses:
2006 - $7960.96
2005 - $15106.89  :o

I got kind of lazy with the monthly updates, but my final damage for 2007 = $1823.58

2004 - $1596.98
2005 - $2354.81
2006 - $2995.42
2007 - $1823.58

Yay!  A significant decrease from last year (mostly due to giving up carded collecting)!

Hopefully 2008 will be even less...   :)
