I got my 6 this A.M....(plus a couple for fellow collectors here in town).

Of course now I'm not as excited to hear about them since they are flimsy...

I met up with Darth Gamboa last night; he showed me his scout...the torso and left leg still seemed really loose but I'd overall say it wasn't as 'loose' as my figure. His also seemed to stay on his bike better than mine.
His bike still sucked just as bad as mine did; the grey plastic parts are still really bendeable when compared with an original bike. I still feel HASBRO is using a cheaper, softer plastic version than what was used on the original bikes.

This kinda seals it for me...  I will pass. Too bad. But I can deal.

I don't think it's a POS, but the $10 price point is much easier to digest.

Still more than happy to pass on this.  The Shadow theme is so lame in my opinion... and 100% uncreative.

I would normally agree with with Chewie on this one, but I thought it looked sharp in this case. The $10 price almost makes me want to pick up more, but for now, I'm happy with the one I have.

This is the first of the Shadow figures that looks halfway decent and makes some sense ... the "stealth" theme is a lot more logical when applied to a scout than a regular infantry trooper. And at least he doesn't have the purple and red stripes or whatever. Still not worth $10 to me personally, but it's actually a decent deal for those more interested.

For ten bucks I might buy this figure and toss the bike, depending on one question: is the figure "bowlegged" and intended only to sit on the bike, or is he able to stand up straight with no leg curvature? Because I saw a pic of one standing on an ebay auction and he looked sort of like he was squating in a wide stance, which I assume was to fit on the bike... perhaps that was the seller's pose though. If he is the same mold as the excellent OTC Scout I'd buy him for sure.

As you can see here he has a bit of a wide stance, but he doesn't have as awkward a standing pose as the POTF 2 scout trooper.
This is the way.

I have spoken.

Also keep in mind that the stance is because he's packaged sitting on the bike. His natural stance should be the normal Biker Scout stance and can revert to that by softening the legs in boiled water.

Just received a Shadow Scout I purchased on eBay... very happy with him. Mine doesn't appear flimsy or cheap at all, he seems to be as well-made as the superb Legends Scout. I wonder if the original run of Scouts for the convention were made cheaper than the ones they now sell from the website? Anyway, this figure looks cool (I like the detail of how the visor is a darker reflective black), is beautifully sculpted, and basically kicks ass. A+
