30AC Variations and Errors
« on: March 14, 2007, 01:43 PM »
While I haven't found any error figures yet there is at least one variation out already.

The super battle droid originally came with a warning sticker on the front bubble and a warning sticker on the back of the card.  This was changed to a printed warning on the cardback but still had the bubble warning sticker and then was changed again to have printed warnings on both the insert and the cardback.

The lava miner also has a warning sticker on the bubble and cardback so this figure may be changed next.

Another thing to check would be the concept stormtroopers coin.  The original pics showed the bottom of the coin as reading "Concept" the figures showing up have the coin reading "McQuarie Concept".  So you might check and see how your concept stormy's coin reads.

Also just read about a clean and dirty shield variation on the concept stormy.

There are also:

1. Insert Variation with the Vader Figure from Vader w/Coin Album.

2. #04 R2-D2 with Blue Jet Flames or Purple Jet Flames

3. Some of the figure include the mini catalog others don't

I found an error on the Biggs Darklighter I got today. The back of the card has the list of 'other awesome characters' at the bottom, and it says:

#6 Obi-Wan Kenobi
#6 Mace Windu
#7 Airborne Trooper
#8 Super Battle Droid

...and so on up until #15. Two #6s in a row. Weird.

It is still kind of early to tell but the luke is coming with reddish brown hair and brown hair like pictured on the cardback.  The reddish brown hair is believed to be the first version and my mockup luke has this reddish hair.

The McQurrie Trooper also has tow left biceps.  It's different than the 03 figure. Just a way to save some cash for Hasbro.

Interesting i'll have to check mine.  I've heard of two left or right bicept errors on other figures but you may be correct on this.

As for the 2 #6's cardback mistake it is found on the biggs fett and luke that i know of I dont have the others yet.

There are Death Star Troopers showing up on Han Solo cards. I found one this morning at Target and there are a few on Ebay at the moment...

That is strange, Madcow, but quite interesting!

Yesterday I found a Galactic Marine in a Wave 3 revision case, and I think he is the 'color variation' everyone was talking about. The variation is not the figure itself, but the backpack! I compared my latest Wave 3 Marine with my Wave 1 Marine and found that Wave 3 Marine has a WAYYYY dirtier backpack than the Wave 1 Marine. Ill provide some pics later today, forgot to do so earlier. Im pretty sure thats the color variation!
