30AC Wave 6 - The Empire Strikes Back
« on: April 23, 2007, 07:56 PM »
Wave 6 - August/September 2007
2x McQuarrie Snowtrooper #50
3x Han Solo w/ Torture Rack #51
2x Lando Calrissian (Smuggler Outfit) #52
3x Rebel Trooper with McQuarrie headsculpt #53
1x 4-LOM (Super Articulated) #54

That's the case asortment 4-inches.de has listed & when has 4-inches ever been wrong?

A super-articulated 4-LOM!!!!?? :o
I have a feeling Han will have a red glow effect on him so Hasbro will make us pay 10 bucks for a Vintage style one next year.

Since there is only 11 figures listed maybe they'll add another 4-LOM to the case.
I remember my dream now.

If we dare hope that the Rebel Trooper is finally SA, I'll take a handfull and they won't be pegwarming around here.

The Snowtrooper is the McQuarrie concept figure, whereas the Rebel Trooper is a regular figure (ie. not a "concept" version) using a headsculpt based on McQuarrie's face.

I wonder if they really mean 4-LOM or Zuckuss. It seems like a small wave though. Anyone have a pic pf the concept snow trooper and concept trooper head?

Looks like a good wave to me.  I'm looking forward to all of these figures, and have been holding out for a new 4-LOM.  I would really like the Han Solo to be the super articulated Bespin version, but I could see it being more "scene specific" as well, so that we can see that version of Han in a future VTSC lineup.  With the ANH, Endor, Hoth, and (repainted) Stormtrooper versions basically out of the way, there isn't much else they can do for a new vintage Han unless they decide to re-do the Carbonite version from the TSC line.  Anyways, nice lineup, hopefully the Hoth Rebel is SA as well.  I don't mind a smaller wave overall either, with the pace things have been going this year.

It'll balance out in the revision waves.  There aren't any more of him produced than anyone else.

I do not think the case assortment they have listed there is entirely correct.  #1, it only has 11 figures.  #2, the case assortment they have listed for wave 4 is wrong (it does not match any of the cases that EE and BBTS are selling, plus it is missing figure #22 M'iiyoom Onith).

4-inches has been good with the actual figure news, but they do often get the case assortments "wrong" (for us anyway) because they are talking about EU cases which sometimes differ from what we actually get in the USA.

As JesseV08 said, it is most likely not a McQuarrie concept head, but rather an actual McQuarrie head (from his ESB cameo).

Rebel General Pharl McQuarrie...

And one of the McQuarrie Snowtrooper images...  not sure if this is the one though.

It's amazing how the internet came to adopt McQuarrie's concepts as well, modeling their "don't hotlink our images" red X's after his initial Snowtrooper concept.

Star Wars, in fact, is everywhere.

Well I'll be damned, I didn't realize the McQ cameo was actually in the film.  I was thinking it was just a CCG card.

The Snowie's overall look didn't alter a ton so I'm guessing that'll be the figure we get.  Pretty cool if you ask me.  The earlier sketches are pretty different but so far the figures haven't been based on sketches, but rather full colored art.
