Those original Playskool playsets are going for some serious $$$ as well.

There are a couple other GH 2 packs like the obi/jango, and the ST 2 pack that get some nice $$$ as well.  It's intersting.  This line has been very collector friendly.  I may go back and pick up one or two of the older Playskool/GH items I missed before it gets totally out of line.  I'd like to see this line continue, and at the same time hope they don;t get "greedy" and start churning out crap, or bogging down this nice little niche.

Star Wars and toy Collector since 1978(age 7).  currently over 6,500 SW items in my personal collection. Collect modern/vintage and everything in-between ;^)

I've recently hopped on the GH bandwagon because they are kind of neat.

I do hate buying repacks as I'm often stuck with multiples of non-army building figures (Obi Wan, Vader, Yoda, etc.).

I'm still missing quite a few of the earlier releases like Padme, AOTC Anakin, AOTC clone trooper and the like, but I'm sure Hasbro will re-release them soon enough as most of the older figures have seen the pegs again.

I saw the Padme two pack and Anakin two pack just yesterday at Wal-mart in Mpls Mn. Keep your eyes peeled- you'll find them shortly.

Man, that must have been some old stock - I don't think that set has been re-released.

Everything around them was the biker scout/hoth sets, so I assumed they had just been re-released. I suppose it could have been old stock, I'll check back their tomorrow over my lunch and see what they have left-

Were they on the older blueish SW carback or the ROTS style orange SW cardback?

Padme/Anakin were out about a year go, and hadn't heard anything about them being released again.  Guessing you may have stumbled on an old one still pegwarming, and if you did, that's a mighty nice find.

curious.

Actually, they haven't been rereleased, so that is a big find.  A lot of people seem to be getting interested in this line lately and are paying big bucks for those AOTC sets.

Well, they were gone when I checked back. But I wasn't seeing things because they had a silver logo han and leia set from the same wave left.

I like this line too, and have them all loose up through the current wave. I know collectors (myself included) can often be guilty of impatience, but seeing as how they have been re-releasing so many of the characters, I am surprised to see the aftermarket prices so high. It isn't like the large unleashed or Galactic Heroes ships where Hasbro has stated they are gone (even if it is only temporary). Wal marts and Targets here in Minnesota each have 304 pegs dedicated to just galactic heroes figures. That is as much as the regular 3 3/4 figures get.

So, I would reccommend patience. They will be back- the pegs are literally waiting there for them.

Wow, 304 pegs dedicated to GH is overkill!

Crazy that you would see that set.  I wonder if it's a new case assortment.  Time will tell I guess.

Our local TRU has done a reset, and had the OT repacks there yesterday.  I picked up a Scout w/Bike, thought it might be nice to have another one.  I had already picked up the Han/Luke Hoth set at Target.  I was tempted to get the Luke/Bike combo, but decided to leave it behind.  Are the differences very significant on that one?

Seeing the "transforming" Landspeeder or whatever it is next to the, it got me to thinking about this line again.  I really wish they'd take a chance on making a couple more vehicles here and there to compliment this line, even if they had to be exclusive to one store or something.  I think a few that might work would be a Landspeeder (normal one), a Snowspeeder, or a TIE Fighter.  Some others that would be neat to see, but probably not as likely, would be an AT-AT or Slave 1.  I don't necessarily see more vehicles as likely, but it would be nice.

I didn't realize Hasbro was planning on re-releasing those older figures on black and silver cardbacks.  My apologies.  :-[  Perhaps they'll release the ROTS ones on the 2006 (black and silver) cardbacks as well?

I also read that the ROTS figures have appeared on the silver cards too.

1.) Vader and Holo Emperor
2.) Anakin and Trooper (501st)
3.) Obi-Wan and Trooper (Cody)
4.) Chewbacca and Trooper (blue)
5.) Yoda and BARC
