Hmmm... looks like the Padme & JarJar and Spider & Clone are new, which is nice to see.  It looks like the Mace & Clone set is just repaints (maybe a new clone color there, but that's it).  I'll defintely pick up the Padme set though and the spider droid looks pretty cool too.

I'm seeing five new sets - not counting any clone repaints (if there are any in there)

no?

"New" depends on your point of view I guess.  There are six sets in that pic that have not been released yet.

- Three of the sets in the pic (Anakin/STAP, Rex/Stinky/Ahsoka, Dooku/Asajj) are not out yet, but they were previously shown in the CW guide that Hasbro put out in July.  These three sets, along with a Cody/Obi-Wan set, will make up the next wave (and should hit stores soon).

- The other three "new" sets in the pic (Padme/JarJar, Spider/Clone, Clone/Mace [repaints]) are sets that we are seeing for the first time.  These three, along with a Luminara/Clone set, will make up the wave after the CW wave mentioned above.

Okay...I wasn't counting Mace & Clone.  I should have specified by new sculpts.  Getting hard to keep track of these things in my old age.

Thanks for clarification Jeff   :)

Boy, we've sure raced to 3 Jar Jars in a hurry, no?  It's amazing that he's one of the few figures I don't have a problem with in Wave 5.  Senator Jar Jar, right?  That's pretty awesome.

Okay...I wasn't counting Mace & Clone.

Understandable - Hasbro shouldn't be counting them either.

OMG.  Apparently there was a bottom to that picture...

...and apparently (I assume) that bottom includes a new MSRP.

Well, that MSRP is for comic shops (who put in orders through previews).  I don't think that $9.99 price means anything for the big retailers like TRU/Target/Walmart.

For example, when you look at the comic packs picture, the MSRP is listed at  $17.99, which is higher than the big 3 charge.

Between a Target last night and one this morning here in So Cal, I've seen the Obi-Wan JSF, DV's Advanced TIE, and Dewback sets in person.  The sets look really cool, but I didn't pull the trigger on them.  Now with my luck, I probably won't see them again.

I noticed that I got confirmation of my preorder shipping of the next round of vehicles (Dagobah X-Wing/Skiff) from BBTS.  With as rare as these cinema scenes seem to be around here, I placed a preorder just in case, and was surprised that it was shipping already.  Hopefully that means they will be hitting retail before long as well.  I believe that these are the last larger sets until 2009 (another X-Wing/Snowspeeder) right?

I only want the Dragon Snake from those sets. Don't think i can justify a purchase even though i did basically buy the other set just for the Nexu  ::)

Han's Hideout has posted some nice loose and carded images of the newest wave.  I'm digging that Clone/Spider set more and more... it has some nice army building potential.  I may have to buy each of the boys one set and then grab another one for me.  :)

I noticed that the "holiday themed" Galactic Heroes packs are currently in stock at HTS, for anyone that might be interested - $7.99 per pack.

Found the Skiff & Dagobah X-Wing sets this morning at a store I hate.

Why are we paying more and getting less product?  I don't get it.

Wow, already?  I just got caught up with the previous 6 Cinema Scene sets about a week ago.

I see that the Dagobah X-Wing is up for order at HTS, for $21.99 (shipping Oct 27).  I didn't see the Skiff up yet, but its probably not too far behind, for anyone interested.  I will say that I did see a lot more of the first wave of Cinema Scenes at retail this weekend (Vader's TIE/Obi's Starfighter at TRU, Mos Eisley/Geonosis as Target), which was a nice change.
