I was without Westbrook for a couple.  Maroney missed three and might as well have missed four.  Jordan missed a pair.  Morris is out right now.  And I'm better off than most.  I keep thinking I have too many running backs and then I watch them miss games.  Yeesh.

No such concept exists!

I took RB's with my first three picks... there was a point where Bush was on bye, Williams and Jacobs were hurt.  I was wishing I had a few more.  I'm surprised I was able to get DeShaun Foster this week, even if he is splitting carries.

I was thinking about getting him, but I was able to get Jesse Chatman, and I saw Kenton Keith in an equal time share with Addai.  I couldn't come up with anyone to drop for Foster.

The 8 RB's on my roster I have there for very specific reasons and didn't see Foster as better than any of them.

Okay this isn't my season.

I'll be lucky to win this game today, and Steven Jackson is injured again with a back injury in the 2nd quarter.

Quick question -

How is Solo's Rebels dropping players that already played today (Mare, Scaife), but on gameday when I go to drop a player it says "roster is nolonger editable today for players who have already played."

Anyone know?  Commish?

You're asking the wrong guy :-\  I'm in the same boat as you, I can't do anything with my players until Monday/Tuesday.

I know I am not in your league, but I am in a Yahoo league...

I believe that you are allowed to drop bench players at any time during a week, even if the games have already been started/played.  I don't think you can add/drop any of your starters until Monday/Tuesday though...  or something like that.

Yeah but both Rob and Solo's Rebels did it today.  I don't get it.

I dropped Maurice Stovall - who I did not start.

If I'd have tried to drop Jeff Garcia, who played for my team, it would have blocked me.

Down by 9 points with Greg Jennings and Jason Elam left to go... Pack / Broncos heading to OT.

First play from scrimmage - 83 yard BOMB to Jennings.

Golden Girls stun Dressel!

Pack win.

And even with that huge last minute bomb by Favre, and Deshawn Wynn being out for the entier game, I manage to hang onto a win by 1.5 or so.

All is right in the world.

I never get the break in the close game.

That was just unbelievable.

The worst part is, I got out of the regulation time with the "W".  This **** happened in OT.  Could have gone to Driver, or Jones, or Lee, or whoever the running back of the minute was.  But it had to go to Jennings.  And the freaking coin toss put the ball in Favre's hands.

Ugh.

I've suffered a long history of actually viewing these types of outrages on Monday Night Football, to be sure.  I'm groggy, and haven't had any coffee yet, but just off the top of my head:

1.  I watched Shaun Alexander try 3 times from the goal line to get in, he got stuffed a couple times then on the 3rd he got in but fumbled the ball as he crossed the TD line.  No score, I lost.

2.  I needed a few more passing yards from McNabb who suddenly got injured, Jeff Garcia came in to replace him and I lost by fractions.

3.  I needed a couple more receiving yards from Marques Colston who caught a pass and was tackled 1 yard shy of tying the game for me, 2 yards shy of winning.

4.  OT, bomb to Jennings last night.

I swear it seems like I never get the break in the close game.  My luck factor seems to be close to zero there.  The one instance where I can remember winning a close game, and the most important I guess, was Round 2 in the playoffs last year when I got Jamie by 1/2 point.  Had I lost that one, it would have been the biggest dagger of them all, so at this point I'll move on to Week 9 and try to scratch out an 8th seeded playoff spot at least.

This game is 2/3rds luck.

My season last year was filled with weird stuff... 5th in scoring, 11th in win/loss.  There were several weeks where I would have beaten 8 or 9 teams in the league, but was playing one of the only 2 or 3 who outscored me...
