A slight delay, oh well. Saving up I guess.

Our friends at instinctoy have posted some Series 9 info from the Medicom Toy Show this past weekend...

New Pics:

The first report on the "basic" ratios for the S9 basic figures:

16:48 Clone Trooper
12:48 Jango Fett
  8:48 Yoda
  4:48 Anakin Skywalker
  4:48 Obi-Wan Kenobi
  4:48 Count Dooku

So an average, non-chase box of 12 should contain:
4x Clone Trooper
3x Jango Fett
2x Yoda
1x Anakin
1x Obi-Wan
1x Dooku

KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE EARLY RATIOS which do not take into account the location of the chase figures.  Remember, there are no guarantees.  Wierd stuff can happen, as we saw with Series 8.

Oh, and chase figures?  How about...

- Shaak Ti, Zam Wessell, and Clone Trooper Commander (Yellow Stripe)

I have no info yet on which chase is where, but it would seem that it's a pretty good bet that the Yellow/Commander Clone Trooper is probably the "easy" chase and probably found in the Clone Trooper box.

I'd also make an educated guess that Zam will end up in the Jango box and Shaak Ti will end up in a Yoda box, but again, that's just speculation at this point based on the ratios...

Hopefully we'll have more info soon!  :)

Exciting News.  Good to see we'll be able to build Clone Armies so simply.  I hope that those chases don't end up in single packed boxes (i.e. Anakin, Obi, Count).

I'm disappointed that the Ani and Obi are single packed.  I know the custom kubrick makers will really be disappointed in that.

Boy, you weren't baiting me too much with that one... It's really disappointing that those are single packed figures.  Those are my favorites of this series.  I had a few plans for alternate displays and custom figures that I don't think I'll be able to do without spending so additional funds on more of these...

I really like the chases with this wave too.  I'd really like to see 4 of the Yellow Clone much like we got with the White Pauldron Sandtrooper with Series 2, but alas, I'm sure we'll only get one...  I also like both of the 'assumed' rare chases.  I'd be happy with either one of them, but would really be happy just getting one in my master case this time around!

I updated my post above with the new boxed and loose shots from instinctoy...

Here's a nice comparison shot of the S5 Yoda vs. the new S9 Yoda:

Nice chases. I hope I get lucky and get one of the rare ones in my first master case purchase.

I'm okay with the chases (I think some of us speculated on Zam - maybe we'll get two heads on that one!).  However, I'm increasingly concerned that we aren't getting all the Jedi we need.

I also don't really like the look of this Obi-Wan:

In my opinion, the original images looked better:

That yoda looks grim  >:( - I like it!  ;D
The Chase choices are fine, but I do wish they would make it 1 easy chase at 2:48 and 2 rare at 1:96. Too many master cases we know of had only 1 chase for series 8.

And more Obi/Ani less Jango would have been fine by me. With the 2 pack, 5 pack, and 3 per box Jango's are going to be the spirit Anakin's drinkin buddy under the kubrick bridge.

I think it's the high angle of the photo that's throwing off the look of OBK's hair:

Interesting selection for chases again, another Jedi/Bounty Hunter combo. I wonder if Zam will have both faces available to display.

Still working to lock down the chase ratios...   ;)

Those are some nice looking chases!  I've been very impressed with how well Medicom has done with the details of the chase figures for Series 8 and 9...

And man, that is really disappointing that they ended up in the Anakin and Dooku boxes, respectively.  It would have made a lot more sense to put them in the Yoda and Jango boxes.

I sweat to God that the chase figures are 9 times out of 10 better than the basic figures.  I had basically no interest in the last wave figures but loved Aurra Sing.  This time, mostly the same with the exception being Yoda, and now Shaak Ti is the chase.
