Holy ****...I'm so excited to see the evo sets return! I'm excited for all three of them, because I think there are needed figures across the board. The only figures I'm not too excited about are Darth Bane (unless that helmet is removeable) and shirtless Maul (but he could turn out better).

Here's my hopes for future sets...

Bounty Hunters
• Mira (KOTOR 2)
• Zam Wessel (ultimate)
• Zuckuss (ultimate)

Troops 1
• Sith Trooper (KOTOR)
• 501st Trooper (ultimate)
• Stormtrooper

Troops 2
• Rebel Trooper (ANH, ultimate)
• Rebel Trooper (Hoth, ultimate)
• Rebel Trooper (Endor, ultimate)

Jedi
• Bastilla Shan (KOTOR)
• Yoda (ultimate)
• Luke Skywalker (ROTJ, ultimate)

I have to say, I'm psyched to see Hasbro creating characters from KOTOR series, which I really feel has some of the most "star wars" feel of the EU.

I don't think I realized they were re-releasing these older sets.  Interesting.

Man, this really makes me wish I wouldn't have tried so hard to find the old Anakin Evo set...  I like this packaging a lot better than the ROTS era version.

I missed out on the original ones, the package on this one looks better from what I've seen.  Can't wait to get 'em!

The angled packaging on these work much better than on the basic cards.

There are images of the three new Evolutions sets in the latest edition of Lee's Toy Review.  The pics of the Jedi don't really show anything new.  The images of the Mandalorians are pretty good, and show off a good deal more detail than the images from Comic Con.  And the Sith Lords made the cover.

Curto's reporting over at Scum about more Evolution sets, and some interesting ones for sure...

OCB ought to be interested in the Padme set...  I am too because it may give that definitive Battle Amidala I've hoped for, and some of the obscure outfits she wears in 2 and 3 then.

Wedge Antilles fans may get a dream come true with a Rebel Pilot set...  I'm interested in this, but really do the pilots "evolve" per se?  As an army builder, I think it could be a fantastic set though with 3 unique and hopefully fairly generic pilots...  My hope/wish I guess would be Wedge (ANH), Dak Snowspeeder (ESB), and a Human B-Wing Pilot.  Those would be my ideals at least.  Better, to me anyway, than a Rogue Squad pilot set.  The film pilots haven't been done right yet afterall!

And lastly, and this was odd I thought, was the Imperial Pilot set...  Personally I'm not sure what to expect.  I suppose it could be pilots from film vehicles instead of all TIE Fighter pilots, but at the same time Curto mentioned Baron Fel, and I wouldn't mind a new (better) version of him.  That comic figure is, well, comical looking in a way.  And Fel's come up in Q&A's this past go-round too as getting future figures.

I dunno though...  The idea of a Biggs in Imperial Pilot outfit with the open mask is sort of dumb to me.  The open masks were only to identify who the pilots were in the comic, and really wasn't intended to be a pilot uniform variation or anything according to what I've read somewhere.

Anyway, the Rebel Pilot one is the most interesting to me, but I'm really hopeful for less EU in it.  Doubting I get my wish on that though, at least based on the other new Evo sets.

Imperial Pilot set ... maybe V-wing pilot, TIE Pilot, and TIE Predator pilot from the Legacy comic series?

That's a possibility...  The V-Winger's long overdue since he's got a ship out, and he is really the evolutionary step to TIE pilots visually.  A SA TIE Pilot from the classics will be nice.  The OTC pilot's nice looking, but lacks some poseability for certain.  Don't know on the EU Pilot you mentioned...  I'd much prefer a Fel actually, but that's me...  It ties to the classics more, so I think that's what I'd wish for anyway.

Hmmm.  This is where the speculation begins!  What would I like to see?

PADME
-Post Senate gown - EPISODE I
-Arena Battle - Super posable, softgoods - EPISODE II
-Buns hairdo - Episode III

REBEL PILOTS
-Garven Dreis - Red Leader - Episode IV
-Wedge Antilles - Rogue 3 - Episode V
-Arvel Crynyd - Green Leader - Episode VI

IMPERIAL PILOTS
-V-Wing Pilot - Episode III
-Black Squadron Pilot with grey helmet markings - Episode IV
And for the last slot, I'm tied between some of these choices:
-Han Solo - Imperial Pilot
-TIE Bomber Pilot with clear face shield (seen in the Ultimate Cross Sections book)
-Imperial Shuttle Pilot - ROTJ

I'm just stoked we're getting a new Wedge (finally) and my theory about him coming in the Evo line was right.  If this pans out.  Let the speculation run rampant:

Hero Pilots

Naboo Fighter Pilot - Episode I (w/ overcoat)
Wedge Antilles (Snowspeeder Pilot) though I will be happy w/ the X-Wing version of course.
Any Rogue Squadron Pilot from the comics, which is where I think they're leaning.

Imperial Pilots
V-Wing Pilot
TIE Pilot
Baron Fel (better) or some other Imperial EU pilot - the Legacy pilot probably.

Padme

Pre-Senate Gown Episode I
Arena Battle Episode II
Peacock Dress Episode III

and also what I think is liable to happen:

Obi-Wan

Episode I Obi Wan
Clone Armor Obi
ANH Obi

Personally, I'd be mega-pumped to see an Evolutions Bartender set, if it included the following:

- Wuher (ANH)
- Ackmena (Bea Arthur, Holiday Special)
- R2 w/ serving tray (ROTJ)
Binders full of astromechs...

Yeah!  That sounds fantastic... a V-Wing pilot would be most welcome... and a new TIE Pilot?  Count me in.  I like the SAGA/OTC version, but one with more articulation and a removable helmet would be fantastic.

Now... the 3rd figure?  Who should it be?  I'd personally like a surprise McQuarrie Concept TIE Pilot... but I don't know if there's an image of the front of him... all I remember seeing ever is this -

Yeah, based on the choices in the first sets in 2008 (NJO Luke, Bane, Nihilus, Mandalore, etc), I could definitely see them tossing more EU figures in there.

I'd be thrilled with an ANH Pilot / ESB Pilot / RotJ Pilot pack, but I'd be willing to sub any one of those slots for a Rogue Squadron Pilot.  :)
