Yeah, they spanked them pretty bad in Week 17. . .

Bah, they still won by 2 scores, on the road.

It's a ploy to trick the Giants.

Wouldn't take much.

Speaking of the Giants, I caught the replay of Super Bowl XLI last night - couldn't make it through the whole thing because of the pain Grossman causes me...

Or a ploy to mess with people betting on the game  :P

??? The Pats only won by 3 points that game.

If I'm the Giants I'd be concerned that they blew a 12 point lead in that game against, by Patriots standards, a very vanilla offense and defense.  I don't know if the Pats thought the Giants wouldn't be going all out and would play their backups the majority of the game, but they looked flat on both sides of the ball.  It wasn't until they took the lead that both the defense and offense starting mixing things up.  Don't expect that same vanilla offense and defense to show up in the Super Bowl.

Pats - 31
Giants - 24

Pffft.  That's gonna be about as accurate as these:

Pats and Pack will win Sunday.

And then we'll have (not the original) LT bitching and moaning and calling the Pats classless.

And then we'll have two weeks of the media sucking Brett Favre off.

 :D

This is the Giants year!  The Patriots are goin' down!

It's already been proven that most of the time I don't know **** when it comes to predictions

So how about you tell me why the Giants are going to win.  Reasons other than wishful thinking, homerism, the Pats are due for a loss or the laws of probability say so.

If the Giants win, they probably played the game of their lives and deserved it.  I'll come in here and give congrats (although in a very pissy mood).  If the Pats win, I doubt we'll see your presence again in an NFL thread until after the Super Bowl, as is your usual MO once your teams are eliminated in the playoffs.  Either that or you'll come in here and correct someone's grammar.

Agreed - This is a no contest for the Pats.  Sorry Giants fans, but I just don't see it.  If the Packers had made it, I would have been predicting a loss for them too.  That all being said, I will be rooting for the Giants the whole way!

For those who have NFL Network, they are airing Super Bowl XX tonight - your chance to see one of the best (if not the best) football team ever.

Brady has a minor ankle sprain.  The boot was just a precautionary measure the first night of the injury.

Yeah Brady was too much of a girl to take on Shawne Merriman - and next up Strahan and Umenyiora are gonna pound him and his girly O-line into the dirt.

The same Strahan and Umenyiora that combined for 22 sacks in the regular season yet didn't manage one against a Patriots offensive line that was missing 2/5ths of their starters?  That Strahan and Umenyiora?  Yeah, I'm sure Brady's shaking in his boots (no pun intended).

As for Merriman, I didn't know it was the quarterback's job to take on linebackers.  You've definitely taught me a lot about football the last few days.  I look forward to more of your infinite wisdom.  Besides, Merriman was a non-factor in the AFC Championship game anyways.

I don't call 3 tackles, 1 assist and no sacks (for a supposed great pass rushing linebacker) all that spectacular.  You and I must have different opinions of greatness.

Antonie Cromartie had a great game.  Shawne Merriman, not so much.

I know what his stats were, thanks.  It was more the intense pressure he was putting on Brady - making him pretty damn ineffective.  Lucky for your team, Maroney could actually make his presence known for once this season and bail you out.

Against the Giants you won't be as lucky.
