I think that those logs to look a bit familiar, come to think of it.  But I have no idea where I would have seen them before.

Yeah, it's probably from some Robin Hood set from the eighties...or was it nineties?

I'm going with Jurassic Park too...  The Sherwood Forest set was based almost exclusively on the Ewok Village with foliage added to the tops of the logs on that one...  Nothing else was really altered except color I think...  They had the battlewagon too but again with few changes.

Those logs do seem like they're from another toy line though...  And it seems odd to see something newly tooled for the set.

Kind of off topic, but isn't the Hoth Rebel turret a new sculpt in the Hoth Battle Pack?

I was thinking no...  I thought someone posted the POTF2 Hoth turret set for comparison and it was the same thing, it just looks bigger int he packaging.  I could be wrong though, as I do not own that POTF2 set.  Some of the few things I passed on were those POTF2 playsets.

I'm thinking the Hoth turret is new... I continued in this thread.

Those logs alos look like they're cheep, thin plastic too, kind of like the plastic fruit made for kids to play with.

Anyone make out the Ewoks yet? It appears one is a light colored Wicket and it looks like thats the name on the back of the package. The other looks like a repainted Ultra Ewok.

Wicket is one of them without a doubt and everyone seems to think that the other is the ultra one repainted.

Does anyone else think the light painted one (Wicket?) looks cartoon-ish with it's coloring?  It just doesn't look realistic... I mean, when I've been on my safari adventures in the wild, I've never come across an Ewok with that color fur!   ;D

I don't think it looks right either... I really doubt I'm going to get this set.  If I do, I don't need the Han, the Chewbacca, the orange Wicket... the logs, or really even the Speederbikes.

It's probably the same exact paint scheme as its Freeze Frame release, so... yes.

I never liked that sculpt because of the orangatan size arms. If they are going to change the color that drastically why not just use the ultra ewok twice and make the 2 different colors? Its a great generic ewok sculpt.

I agree. This also falls into the train of thought that there's no reason for any POTF2 sculpts to be used any more.
