I've been incredibly lucky and for the most part been able to avoid the injuries.  I had a couple lame duck defensemen go down, but I had problem letting them go.

Paul Stastny out with an appendectomy.  Argh.  I can't afford to lose my 3rd best player when Scott's already pulling away from me. 

How do I add a player to the IR?  I can't remember from last year.

It's at the bottom of the drop down menu where you move your players around; below bench there's an IR.  I went in and moved Statsny and Nylander to IR status for you though just to be helpful.

Be happy they're putting your guys on IR.  Almost two weeks later and Heatley still isn't on IR and probably won't be placed there at all.  So he sits on my bench for 4-6 weeks and I can't grab anyone.  It's a separated shoulder for crap's sake, he's not coming back tomorrow.

That wouldn't be a surprise.  Interesting to see how quiet the Buds fans have been over at Snowtroopers.

It's always nice when one of your guys puts up 7 points in one night.

So Heatley's been out for 3 weeks now; Zubov has been out for 3-4 games and it appears Kovalchuk will miss at least two games if not more.  Nobody put on IR at all.

I've been without Gagne, McCabe, and several others for significant periods of time.  Most recently, I've lost Crosby.

And my team sucked to begin with.

True.  You know we have two IR spots though right?  Three of your guys are on IR currently and you only have one in that slot.  You could move either Crosby or Lupul into IR and pick someone up.

If you whine enough, apparently they'll put a player on IR.  Heatley is finally on IR status.  I don't know if that's good or not.  It freed up a slot but I'm wondering if it doesn't mean he's progressing quite as rapidly as originally thought.

Bah, the last few weeks have seen me lose 5-10 points per week to Scott for 3rd place.  I was only 30 points behind before this tailspin, but now I'm 60 points behind.

Thankfully your "curse" only appeared to hit Lidstrom (who has been out for a few weeks without ever going on IR ) and Havlat.   

Word is Lidstrom should be back this weekend, which is great.

Havlat though...       Why I continue to take chances on him every year is waaaaay beyond me.

Well my guys certainly aren't doing much to dethrone you.  Kovalchuk and Heatley in a slump; Osgood bumped down; Zubov on IR.  Blech.  A month is a long time, but I need my guys to step up here and do it quick.  You getting Lidstrom back won't help me.
