That would be really cool to see some new aliens, but were did the Rancor originate from? It would be cooler to see a Felucian Warrior on a Ackley over the Rancor. Anyway, I'll welcome any cool looking aliens.

I've read its origins have "spread" across the galaxy some...  Forget where I read that.  Dathomir is what I'd always recalled as its "original" planet though, for what that's worth.  Maybe they're just domesticated and used on other worlds then for various purposes.

I always kinda felt like Felucia was an uninhabited world by anything sentient, so I find Felucians sort of surprising themselves.  I'm anxious to see this set though, and not really bothered by the concept...  I guess the FU line's not bugging me much at all really, and after seeing the Evolutions set, I'm pretty happy with what I see.  I just hope the game doesn't blow.

Rancors also showed up on Rakata in the Knights Of The Old Republic game.  However I don't think they were indigenous to that planet either.

But regarding the Felucians, I found this image of one at Wookieepedia:

I remember that, but I always thought they might have been on a ship that crashed. Maybe something like Jesse said as they are domesticated and used for various purposes, so they could have been rounded up for transport to another world. Kind of like the Mustang to North American, as they were left here with Native Americans domesticating and used them.

That is one really cool looking alien. I could see them being more of a nomad type people, in very small numbers. That would explane why Felucia looks uninhabited. Acklay, as the Star Wars Databank states it hails from the planet Vendaxa, but if they were on Felucia (like in Battle Front) they would detour large type settlements. Maybe there is some other type creature that is just as bad, I don't know. Finding that out though I would have to rethink my last post with them riding a Acklay as they are not native to Felucia.

I think the alien looks like he belongs on the deck of the Flying Dutchman.

Yeah, the official homeworld is Dathomir--but all the authors want to use them so they've shown up all over the galaxy, and the "spreading" explanation is just a CYA after the fact to explain why they're now everywhere. ::)

The new Rancor and rider look really good. I am excited for this set. Probably the item I am most excited for from the force unleashed./
