Maybe it's an all new AI Han, fully articulated, full automated, full intelligent. That would justify the extra 100 bucks. ;)

I'm tellin' ya - Hasbro is taking advantage of the secondary prices and repacking the Galactic Heroes version with 'retooled' Han and Chewie.

It's actually been confirmed*.

maybe they are taking the 3 3/4 scale ship and retooling it to be the GH ship/playset.      wouldn't that be a kick in the pants

It's funny how doubtful and cautious we're all being!  No one wants to get their hopes up, because Hasbro has been known to crush our hopes and dreams  :P.  I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one; they bashed many preconceived notions for me this past year.  C'mon leaked pics!

That is so true Daigo-Bah. I guess that's why I'm trying to look at it from a logic standpoint. How can they screw this up by retooling the existing mold and justify the price point? I just can't see it.

Here's a thought - since it's so early, what if Target has things entered backwards in the computer?  What if it's the AT-TE that is supposed to be $150 (like the RS report) and the Falcon that is going to be $100?

Could be, but it still don't think it justifies a retooled Falcon. At least I hope not.  :-\

Yeah, and even at $100 it must be larger, right?  That's still double (roughly) the cost from the last release; plus their figure pack-ins are usually no greater than about 3 in number.

From the rumors report it appears to be a 2005 reissue. I'm now starting to doubt it being a 3 3/4 ship, but rather it being a Galactic heros ship. The sticking point is the price, otherwise I'd be convinced of it being a GH product.

Hasbro confirmed a re-release of the Galactic Heroes Falcon in the most recent Q & A:

Any plans for more vehicles in the Galactic Heroes line? (RTM, 12/21/07)

Yessir! First up, we will be getting the Millenium Falcon back into circulation in a special "Cinema Scene"-inspired window-boxed style package with Han, Chewie, R2-D2 & C-3PO. Look for this exclusively at Wal-Mart in approximately February.

The original Playskool/GH Falcon sold for $29.99, I believe it was.

In the recent rumors list the leaked, it shows the MF at £149.99 which currently is about $300 US. I can't imagine Hasbro having a 300 price point item on the shelves and not taking a bath on it.

$300 bucks. Hell, no one will buy that.
I'd rather see a slightly larger Falcon I could afford than a new Falcon I can't afford.

I would, if it's cool enough, but I don't think the conversion isn't quite what it seems. Although this might be £149, everyone outside the US still pays more for SW product when all is said and done, so this sill could end up being $150 US dollars.
