Heh, weird number for an edition size.

Dale, just in case you hadn't heard, I'll explain the reason for the low edition size.

eFX was originally going to just make 1000 of these, but decided to let the pre-orders run from December 11th - 21st. How ever many pre-orders they received in that time was going to be the edition size and this included what AD's ordered. So, there will be 838 Mark Hamill Signature Edition Red 5 X-wings. This low run makes it much more collectible and it will probably become extremely hard to find for less than retail later on much like the Master Replicas Stuidio Scale vehicles such as the Y-wing and AT-AT Walker V1 & V2. The Falcon is still very expensive, but it can be found for less than retail if you look hard enough.

Odd choice for their first lightsaber.
This is the way.

Ahsoka is very popular due to the success of The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network. The fact that Ashley Eckstein is cute as a button doesn't hurt her popularity either.

I went ahead and ordered one. With eFX now doing edition sizes based on pre-orders, this stands to be a pretty low amount. This also puts me in the 5 for 5 club.  ;D

Rebel Starfighter Red Five X-Wing #156 arrived at my office this afternoon. My hat is off to Bryan, Amy and the rest of the eFX crew. They all did a superb job with this piece. I'm extremely happy with the way it turned out and I'm proud to have it in my collection.

I just looked over all the different parts and pieces and this one looks to be perfect. My plaque is straight, no smudges and it even has some of Mark's finger prints on it!  All the lights work and they all line up pretty good. I was being very gentle with the whole thing, but I wasn't sure if I had the seat and pilot in there right or not. The canopy did have room enough to close, so I'm assuming I did, but it was kind of loose. Perhaps that's just the way it was designed to be, but I wasn't going to mess around with it.

I have to be honest, I just had a look around the room to see if there was any possible way to display it and there's not. I literally don't have anywhere to safely put it. I also don't want to display it without a case anyway, so that's okay. Just knowing that I have one will have to be enough for now.

For anyone in the Port Saint Lucie, FL area that's interested: I will have this on display at the next SWGFA event on May 17th.

Wow, it looks fantastic.  I've always dreamed of a replica like this since I saw the ICONS version at Celebration III.  I'm pretty sure the pictures don't do this beauty justice.  Congrats!  8)

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I wasn't going to complain to Rich's wife about the dishes since she let us all play at her house that day.  :P

I haven't done much buying in the last few years but this email caught my eye.  I don't know if I'll have time to be online right at 1pm tomorrow (and I'm not really into the non-refundable $150 downpayment) but I might actually order this.

Hey stranger.  That's a tempting one but the only other hilt I'm after is an OT Obi hilt.  Sadly they're all so damn expensive on the secondary market.   :-\
