My connection has dried up as well.
Due the the economy over there they can no longer get them wholesale, the price is very steep and not worth the trouble now.
I'll just buy a few singles from each series from now on, no more Bricks N Beer and chases though.
A good run, sad its at an end.

HLJ has Series 10 up for pre-order!  11,172 yen so about $120.15 USD or $152.69 per box of 12.  :o

$480.59 US per Master Case so about $610.74 CDN.  :o  :o

Kubrick Star Wars #10: 1 Box 12pcs

Quote
Preorder this item by Jan. 6 to get it for 5% off the regular price of 11,760 yen!

What a difference from Blister who has them listed at 9,800 yen or $105.61 US pr box of 12. Oy!

Also note that this series is an April 2009 release & HLJ is stating a Dec release. I'm sure that is wrong.

A nice thing about HLJ is you can cancel your order before they get it instock.

So anyone going to order as this looks like the only place thus far or...  :-\

**** it! Order placed, a MC done for me. Better be ******* factory sealed.  :-X

Oh god, what have I done.  :-\

With this news I'm done going the multi box route and probably the single box as well. I'll just pick this up either piece meal or buy the 6 and hope for some deals on the chases.

It was fun while it lasted.  :-\

With the price increase, I really hate to what what the chase figures will go for on the bay.  :-\

I'm afraid this might be The End:'(

Holy hell- that is a chunk-o-change.

My kids and I love the kubrick chaos of tearing in to a master case. But that may make it simply too much.

So, at $480, a mastercase might break down like this:

1 rare chase $125
2 semi-rares, $60 for both
leaving a hair under $300 for the basic sets and mostly useless extras.

That would put basic sets of 6 in the $65 + range, and I don't see the secondary market selling too many at that price.

Yikes.

I was dubious about the price increases and if what DSJ becomes the "norm" Series 8 and 9 may be my only master case purchases ever.

I'd go back to a master case for non-prequel stuff I think, but not sure.  I've been only a box since the prequel stuff started, so that's what I'll do here.  Never received a chase from a box from HLJ but I did get the yellow clones from Robby in a solo box.  I know others have got chase from HLJ and I've ordered other stuff from them too, so I'll go back to them.

Like BrentS, I think my MC purchasing days are over...  That's way too much scratch for a MC.  I'd love to get the chases, but not at those prices.  So like Series 3, I'll have to be content knowing I'll probably never get the chases from Series 10...

My master case purchasing days are over too. I might buy one box of 12 or just buy them via ebay. I'm disappointed to end with only getting 1 master case but I can't afford that price hike and still have to get chases.  :(

I guess I'm not surprised by HLJ's price as it was mentioned a while back in the thread to expect about 20% price increase for S10.  The only thing we can do is hope for a strong dollar in 2009 and hope that we can find a new wholesaler to help us out... :(

When I was out there this year, during the Medicomtoy Parco 2008 Show, I picked up 1 box of SWS9 for 11,088 Yen. I was charged 924 each for the 12 unopened boxed figures. I was lucky enough to bag 2 Clone Yellow troopers in the end from 1 box.

Knowing medicom release date (always late + delay), they probably let them loose for sale during a toy event in tokyo.

While doing my general research on upcoming kubrick figures I stumbled across the SWS10 figure ratio

Ratio: 4/12  Clone Trooper
Ratio: 3/12  Darth Vader
Ratio: 1/12  Anakin Skywalker
Ratio: 2/12  General Grievous
Ratio: 1/12  Darth Sidous
Ratio: 1/12  Tarfful

Looks certain there be a chase clone trooper. Let the speculation begin!

I think that two common chase clone troopers is a definite, like they did with Series 9.  I'd have to put my top guesses as 501st or Shock Troopers.  If they do the same thing they did with Series 9 and put the rare chase in one of the 1:12 boxes, then I'd have to take a guess that we'd possibly get a Wookie Warrior or maybe Commander Gree in the Tarfful box, maybe a Mas Amedda or a Mace Windu in the Darth Sidious box, and maybe a Padme or Obi-Wan in the Anakin box.
