Well, it is actually true that the dollar has dropped significantly versus the yen. A few months ago it was 115 yen to the dollar. Now it's just under 90 yen to the dollar -- that more than a 20% change making it the lowest it's been for more than a decade. So I actually think that's a big factor. I get paid in yen, so I follow it pretty closely.

BBTS has one of the series 10 boxes available again, after I ordered one. I'm not sure I'll keep it, but I wanted to have one on order in case a better deal doesn't present itself.

Went on ebay before work looking for the 2008 Collectors Box Set since I have some spare cash right now and I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Medicom-244-Star-Wars-Series-10-Kubrick-set-of-6_W0QQitemZ110334134579QQihZ001QQcategoryZ751QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

First pre-order I've seen for Series 10.

There has been 2 on ebay for a while - same seller - same crappy spelling in the title  ;)

One set is for $73.88 the other for $80  :-\

Yeah, I've seen a couple of them on the bay too. Long way to go on this set & I would not want to preorder a set off the bay, if something happens down the road it maybe too late to do anything if ya paid via Paypal.

Yeah I wouldn't pre order it yet as well. I was just suprised to see it on there and I hadn't seen it before. I've been looking for the 2008 box set so I might have just skimmed over the 10 pre-order then.

My source told me today that our Brick N Beer crew can get a case of Series 10 but without the discount they used to get from the shop they buy from.
$400 plus for the case this time around.
I might score myself a Boba set, I just can't help myself...so much for New Years resolutions.

I want an RAH Alien as well!

I got a quote from someone overseas for $525 shipped for a MC for Series 10...  The $400 plus you're getting quoted seems like a pretty good deal...

Don't I always say that?
Seriously, two Seres 10 Clones were all I was going to get until my friend got back to me.
If not for them I would never search out the Boba set or the Alien because of what the prices might be here in the US.
The Alien is Exclusive to the Medicom club, I was hoping they ordered one that I might be able to grab.
Besides, I usually sell a few things to make up for what I buy now!!!
Hence the Indy...now to dig for some other stuff....

Series 9 was $310 shipped from the same person.
That being said, I was never able to sell all of the extras I had.
All ended up as gifts for my friends kids and a few geek friends I have.
Gave a set of 6 to my niece's husband to be as well.

$400 was not exactly what she said.
They told me "over" $400 before shipping.
I just hope its not that much more "over"

Here is what they told me:

I order a carton of SW S10.
It will be release in April.
The price is not discounted price as I said you.
It will be over $400.0.
Now, $ is weaker than JPY.
When I calculate JPY--> $
Price became rise up as usual

japan.toystore has listed sets for preorder on ebay, but has obviously only listed the 6 basic figures, for $69.99US.

So this series comes out in a few weeks.  Did anyone order from overseas, pre-order from HLJ or BBTS, or are most of you waiting for ebay?  Just wondering if anyone has gotten any buzz about a potential ship date for these...

The last update from Medicom still said April 30th for Series 10, meaning it should hit the retailers that first week of May...  unless of course it gets delayed between now and then.   :P
