Porkins = Eckhardt!

Me and Chris were talking about Eckhardt being such a funny crook and then I realized, Eckhardt looks like Porkins BECAUSE HE IS PORKINS! Wow! Okay, had to share that with everyone.

Forgive me if I'm a little out of touch with current events, but who the heck is Eckhardt?!  Is that from Star Trek or something...?      

I was equally surprised and excited when I originally learned just a couple years ago that I had been watching Porkins in Raiders of the Lost Ark for all these years...    For those equally as inobservant as I, he was one of the several fellas who came by the university and "greenlighted" Indy to go look for the Ark, and the guy at the very end who said "We've got top men working on it."  Indy: "Who?!"  Porkins: "Top men."

Eckhardt is the crooked cop in Batman the movie. One of his lines were (to Joker), "You have no future, Jaaaccckkk!", and hence, as Joker shot him, he shouted, "Eckhardt! Think of the Future!"... Yep.

So what are we saying... Porkins didn't die? He became a crooked cop in Gotham City and was killed by Jack Nicholson? (This is SO confusing...)

I only made the Porkins-Eckhardt connection a year ago or so.  And then, there's also the character he played in Raiders Of The Lost Ark.  He's one of the government suit's who sends Indy out after the Ark.

On another note, he was one of the coolest guys signing autographs at Celebration 2.  He was absolutely hilarious!

Yeah, he was at a convention I went to before Celebration 2.  He had all his photos out there from films he been in.  I nearly lost a load when I finally realized he was in Raiders of the Lost Ark.  LOL!
