I think it's definitely possible to do a Droid Factory 2-pack lineup hitting on all of the films.  A pilot & astromech theme is cool, but to do that for the entire series might be a little monotonous.  I think a lineup like this might be pretty cool:

EPISODE I - Senator Yarua (repaint, new sash) & Interpretor Droid

EPISODE II - Zam Wessel (new) & ASN-21 assassin droid

EPISODE III - Clone Commander Cody (w/ Gree articulation) & R4-P44

EPISODE IV - Red 4 - John D. & astromech

EPISODE V - Chewbacca (VOTC) & C-3PO (dismantled & cargo net - new version)

EPISODE VI - Admiral Piett & AV-6R7

Well, it's the only place where I want to see a Zam Wessel.  Personally I don't want to see a Zam resculpt in the basic figure line until more of the Arena battle Jedi get addressed first.

Well, according to the Q&A's there's a sequel to the Droid Factory sets on the way.  So it got the wheels spinning in my head.

What type of build a droid would be in this set?  Would it be another protocol-style droid?

Considering the fact that Hasbro had C-3PX as the first BAF droid?  I'd like to see them go EU again, but this time make the BAF droid HK-47 from the KOTOR games.

I'm not so sure about Proxy.  A number of sites asked about Proxy in the last Q&A session, and Hasbro seemed completely non-commital on that front.

However, HK-47 was mentioned in the context of a question about all of the Fan's Choice Figure poll candidates.  And Hasbro confirmed that as many as 9 of the characters that were left over from the polls were on the way in 2009 and 2010.  HK-47 was on that list of characters.  I don't call that a confirmation by any stretch of the imagination, but I think it ups the odds for that particular droid.

Hk-47 was my guess for the BAF droid for the new sets. I think its a good choice to get people to buy all 6.

Revising a bit of an older thread, but I picked up the Luke and Fried2-D2 set this morning.  The WM I frequent has probably 20-30 of these left, but most of them are the Plo, Watto and Kit sets.  Odd, those are the ones I wanted most (and those are the three that I have already).  They only have one Luke, probably half a dozen of the Han and that's it, no Vader  >:(  So I think I'll have to check some of the other WM that had this set, I can think of a couple others in the area, that I don't get to too often that had these.

Oh, and of course they were still full price.... :(

Droid Factory Wave 2 (Wal-Mart Exclusives)
« Reply #268 on: February 14, 2009, 03:48 PM »
Not too sure what's in this wave, but I'm sure it will be revealed in good time. Corran Horn and Whistler 2-pack has been confirmed, so perhaps that is in this series?

Credit Goes to Bantha Skull for the first scoop

And the Build-a-Droid figure is said to be... Dark Trooper Phase 2! Only five packs this time around, which seems wierd. Six packs seems like an ideal format.
