Most of the painting and lighting finished on the cockpit:

That's a lotta light piping right there, haha.  How'd you go about it?  Fiber optics or some other route?

After getting all of the individual instrument panels made, I cast them in crystal clear, then used translucent paint for the buttons and lights.  This way, by using just clear LEDs, it gives the appearance of multiple bulbs.  Below are a few shots of the panels before casting:

This is simply amazing. Do you have a large display room for this when it's done?!

Wow. This gets better with every update. The clear cast effect is perfect for the cockpit. I really like the look you were able to achieve. Is this the method that you intend to use for other pats of the ship that have panels with multicolored lights? Great stuff. Keeps those updates coming. :)

Just the cockpit would make a great playset as it is. Love all the lights. When are you going into mass production on these things?  ;)

Mass production, right.  I haven't even been able to finish one yet!

Got some more done on the main hold:

And, now that I've gotten a pressure pot built, I finally got around to getting the rest of the landing gear cast:

As always, comments/critiques welcome!

I was hoping we were due for an update. :)

Great stuff as always man. I really like seeing this ship grow with each update. I love the ammount of detail you are putting into every little corner of the ship. Good luck casting the landing gear. I'll be interested to see how much your pressure pot helps. As always I can't wait for the next update!

How did you do the floor panels in the Falcon? I've been looking for a cheap and efficient way of making floors like that for awhile now.

The deckplates were done courtesy of  http://laserama.webs.com/.   They have some amazing things for dio builders, and I highly recommend them.

I see why it's taking so long...you have the action figures building it!   ;D

Awesome work so far dude!

The production still you posted shows that ribbed hose running up along side the bench seat.  I don't know if it would quite be the right scale, but you might try using a guitar string to replicate that hose.

This is fantastic work.  Keep it up!

Holy ****, that's a great idea! I may use that for one of my projects.

Awesome update! Can't wait to see this puppy completed!
