I guess Walmart didn't get the memo that the Ugnaught is a single pack figure.   :P

Why can't we just get a good SAHan Bespin? Hopefully he will be in the 2nd ESB wave. Overall this is a relatively boring wave, the Hoth Trooper is the real saving grace. Luke and Leia in white medical clothes does not get me too excited.....

Emperor?  In an ESB wave?    ???

I hope it's not another holo Emperor...  ::)

The Emporer doesn't appear any other way in TESB.  It would be criminal to repackage that SDCC exclusive holo Emporer.

Personally I'm hoping that this is actually a Greatest Hits figure.  And just maybe there's some other TESB figure in the works for this wave.

What's odd here is this:  we got the giant Emporer head in the SDCC exclusive 2-pack.  And there's also a holo Sidious on Mechno chair that's rumored for a TPM themed wave.  A TESB Palpatine seems a bit strange.

I don't really think Hasbro would card a big head.

You could really take that out of context. (and I'd be flattered if they did mine).  ;)

It'll be interesting to see what the Emperor figure is in this wave.  We still sort of need an "ultimate" Original Trilogy Emperor figure (the Evolutions/Order 66 pack based one is on the right track), but it doesn't really fit into an ESB wave.  Otherwise, the rest of the wave looks pretty good to me.  The Luke and Leia are likely the long rumored and requested "Medical Frigate" figures, and Captain Needa is a nice addition as well.  The Ugnaughts are a needed re-do, and could be pretty spiffy.  The big figure of this wave, to me, is the Hoth Rebel Trooper.  We've all been waiting for them to go all out on the Rebel Troops (this one in particular), and hopefully they'll knock it out of the park.  With there not being an "action oriented" version of a main character in this wave (Luke and Leia are more of background/dressing characters in these outfits), the Hoth Rebel Troop is sort of the anchor of this wave.

Like it was mentioned, I do hope we see that ultimate Bespin Han (and/or Hoth Luke/Leia) in the 2nd Empire wave for 2009.  With this wave, and the 2nd including Willrow Hood, it could shape up to be a great year for Empire figures.

I would love to see an OT Emperor styled like the Evo version, but with the correct head and a cloak that's more like a black version of the VOTC Tusken robes. I guess it would also need to be better tailored. And a cane. Force lightning hands would rock too.

But that's a ROTJ Emperor. I don't see how the Emperor could fit into this lineup. I hope they don't repack the holographic Emperor from a few years ago, that was basically a translucent version of the '97 Emperor.

I'd personally much prefer a new Zuckuss and/or Dengar.

I'm obviously pumped for a new Hoth Rebel Soldier...  A new Ugnaught's nice, but not something I'm cartwheeling over.  The same goes for Medical Frigate Luke/Leia...  Nice but nothing major.  The Rebel is without a doubt this wave's high point so long as it's a near perfect figure.

I love me some OT goodness so I'm excited to see all these figures, I just hope they all turn out to be pretty special.

I'm with you Jesse. I never bought any of the Hoth troopers (with the exception of Bren Derlin and General Riekkan) because they are so piss poor. Some Hoth Rebel goodness has me psyched.

Is anyone else a little disappointed that there's only one new character in the whole wave lineup?  Captain Needa is a welcome addition, but these are all just new versions of previously seen characters.  But I guess that's just a fact of life since there are so few new TESB characters left to be done.

Well...Medical Frigate Luke and Leia have been long requested and I think most people will welcome to their collections.  The other point is that outside of Torryn Farr and a modern Echo Base Trooper, there is not a whole heck of a lot from ESB that is "New"

Is Luke in his bathrobe new?  Yes.  Is it interesting?  That's debatable.  I'll give Hasbro some credit for trying to mix it up with the core characters.  But this is probably the least compelling version of Luke Skywalker from the entire OT.

Thankfully there is news of the second TESB wave which should have Willrow Hood and Torryn Farr seems to be rumored as well.
