As nice as Needa looks, I'm really dreading his release, as I'm still having issues with the Moff Jerjerrod Army to this very day.  Boring white guy in drab gray uniform is the OT equivalent of Neimoidians at retail, it seems.  And by that I mean that I'd be perfectly happy getting several more, but I seem to be in the minority in that regard.

That said, this could very well end up being the Legacy equivalent of the TSC 2006 "Battle of Endor" wave overall.  Everyone will buy the Hoth Rebel Troopers up (ala the 2006 Death Star Gunner), the Ugnaughts will be the next to go (ala Chirpa), and we're left with pegs full of Palpatines (again), Imperial Officers, and the main characters (ala Threepio).

I dunno Dr. P., it's a much better figure it seems.  Removable hat, more articulation...  It's more an army builder than Jerjerrod.  I got one JJ, and didn't want a single more of that figure.  it was very disappointing to me.

Now...  Needa I'll likely pick up 20 or so.  Guys like me can make a major dent in any local area, haha.

With a specific Imperial officer character like Needa (not to mention how good of a likeness he is!) I really prefer to head swap as much as possible so that it doesn't look like Needa in every diorama scene I place him.  So I'm thinking I'll get about 4 of him most likely.

I'll headswap too for sure, but I'll get more...  He's even got the seemingly generic rank badge of ROTJ.  That's good for, well, army building. :)  I'm pretty geeked other than his potential height being oddly tall.

I might get more that one as well. I have to admit, I think I have plenty of generic officers, but articulation upgrades tend to woo me.

versus

Isn't that a pretty big difference?  I mean I really don't follow along all that much anymore, but the second pic looks like a Hoth Luke in the gear beside Leia and now the dude has a goatee and stache plus he seems to have lost his scarf in the winter breeze.  I like the first released pic better personally.

You're in luck, were getting both. It's a running change like the black & white Endor Troopers.

Hence the picture of both on the packaging?  I see, thank you.

Yup, a prototype picture showed a 2nd head, and hat mold, plus a rifle's been pictured along with a scanner device thing.  Pretty cool stuff!

Hello community... today on rebel scum we can see the first ughnaught from esb wave

I thought Hasbro will pack the two ughnaughts together, but they chose to separate them

The first ughnaught comes with a freeze chamber computer and ur3po arm

But is it fair for collectors?

Was there not enough room in the blister for the two ughnaughts technicians?

The toy is nice but a small single action figure could seem overpriced for this wave.

Wow. That's extremely annoying, considering we're already paying for another figure with a running change in this wave.

This wave, while not even all that impressive as a whole when you think about it, may end up being a very expensive one. :-\

We shelled out $7 for an ewok with an accessory (the baby).

I'll second what Rob said...  I dont' really look at this as being THAT bad.  You get a neat "weapon" (tool bag), and a console...  I'm ok with that.  The Jawa w/Droid is obviously a better deal, but this doesn't seem too bad.  The figure's surprisingly articulated too...  Very neat.

True it sucks, but there is about as much plastic here as there would be for a single astromech (new or otherwise) and I don't think we've been collectively complaining about that. I think we're all just pissed that it has been speculated/fantasized back and forth between single and 2-pack and it turned out this way.

I'll gladly spend the $8 on multiples of both versions.  ;)
