After slowing down for a long time, I've jumped into Blu-ray and am sort of back to buying movies.

Anyone planning on picking up Blue Harvest this week?  Seems that Best Buy has the Best Deal at $12.99 for the bare bones edition, unless you want all that extra crap for $25.  I'm almost positive that this episode will be included in a Family Guy boxed set and those are generally $25 for an entire season when they first come out, so I'm going to wait it out.

I wish I had Blu-ray.

I'm glad I don't (at least not yet)  Still waiting for the war to end to see who will arise as the victor.  Also - I'm not ready to replace my entire library at $20+ bucks a pop.

My local Costco already has them on their shelves, so someone made a booboo.  I looked at it, but I'm not a huge fan of Family Guy, at least not enough that I expected to enjoy it for $14.

Any particular reason you seem to think so? I haven't heard anything like this.

12 Blue Ray movies.  I'm guessing $300 + ?  I'm so not ready to start on a new format.   :-\

I had a lot of store credit at the Movie Trading Company - I spent surprisingly little out of pocket on all that.

Yeah, they're a buy-sell-trade type place.  I think it's owned by Blockbuster though.

My decision to hold off on picking up the Simpsons movie paid off. Last week it was on sale at Target for $10.

That's my stance on almost everything that is a new release.  Having paid $20 for the X-men movies was foolish, but I enjoyed them.  Finding them regularly for $7-10 brand new is too frustrating.  Plus I get the benefit of deciding whether I even really want the movie at all.  Used at blockbuster for $6.99 after a period of time is so much more appealing, especially now that most basic movies don't even have an insert with them anyway.

That's what I've been doing since 04 with almost all new movies that have come out that I'm interested in.  I wait a month or two and I usually get 4 for $30 or I wait a few more months and get them for $5 or half of that, plus they all come with lifetime guarantees.
