I picked up the Wal Mart evolutions sets for $7 each last night.

A nice price since I only wanted one of the figures in the 2 I bought.

Has anyone gotten clone cash from a basic legacy figure yet? Granted, I've only opened the TPM and Jedi waves, but I checked each figure from the cases and no sign of the coupon.

Hasbro stated in a Q&A that Clone Cash was only in the Clone Wars figures. It makes some sense, as Legacy has the BAD parts and SL has the clone weapons. Clone Cash is the bonus exclusive to the Clone Wars line.

Now, to follow up your question with another question: Has anyone seen Clone Cash in any Clone Wars figures other than those in the Cad Bane wave? I've seen figures from earlier waves (Whorm Loathsome, Space Obi, ARF, etc.) and later waves (Luminara, Argyus) but they never have the coupons. This is the only wave that seems to include the coupons.

Thanks Greg. I thought I had read differently. Oh, well.

In looking for clone cash, I did see some clone cash in some CW figures at Target. Kit Fisto for sure had it. A couple of others as well, but I can't remember who.

Hasbro stated they had 250K coupons out there and wanted to see how they did before they try it again. It was not a huge run but from the sounds of it anyone who got them used them so I think it's something we will see again.

I probably bought about 10 CW figures since it started, and I got 2 clone cash coupons.  For whatever it's worth they were stashed in Mace Windu and Commander Gree's package.

I'm pretty sure it's random though.

I realize that 99% of collectors won't care, but just in case that 1% that might, maybe a parent for their kid for Christmas, Target has the Clone Trooper Voice Changer Helmet that is normally $43 on sale for $20 (so $15 if you use clone cash).

Starwarsshop.com has officially lost their damn minds.

Figures are $14.99, oh but this month if you buy 3 you get a 4th free.

So let's see $45 for 4 figures, that's a sale price of $11.

No.  Thanks.

I'm glad you posted this.  I noticed that too via an adon Yakface and went to see what they had as the ad said they have (100's of figures in stock).  Well no wonder there's so much left in stock.  Those prices are just plain insulting - it actually makes me want to buy less product from Hasbro.  :P

I've received a few "hostile" e-mails regarding the posting of that "sale" - mostly to the effect of how could I/we support the blatant gouging of collectors. Yes, the pricing sucks, but they are on par with many online retailers in terms of charging a premium for individual figures - especially the newest releases.

Would I pay what they're charging? No, but here in MN we have pretty good luck at finding merch. at retail. Others might not be as lucky.

I concur with Jayson, it's pretty competitive when you look around at what many etailers rape :-X charge people for individual figures...  It's convenience, I guess, of course, and it at least is a sale in relative speaking terms.

It's no $4 or $5 K-Mart sale, or B2G1 TRU sale or anything...   :-\

Nice if true, but unfortunately I still have stores with 30AC stuff at $6.63 in their clearance aisle.  All Juno Eclipse.

Well, I hope I didn't come across as hostile.   :-[  The prices don't work out that bad with the free figure included.  I'm more bothered by the "everyday" price in conjucntion with a sale...I just find it insulting to mark up your product 100%, then pretend that you're offering consumers a "deal" by issuing a 4th figure for free.
