Our local store almost fooled me as they had both the AT-STs and Dewbacks in the clearance aisle, with red tags, but they were still full price.  I hate when they do that.  I already have two of each, and don't necessarily need more, but if I saw a nice deal (like 50% off or more) I'd probably consider it.

And they have stick out flag style price tag on the shelf that declares in big bold letters that the item is 'NOW: (the regular price)' and the smaller 'Reduced From:' is always blank.  I'm always tempted to find a pen and write the regular price in that blank spot to show other people what a "deal" they are getting.

"But Mom its on clearance!  It's zero dollars less than it was before!"

I asked about that and one of the supervisors told me that they do it intentionally to make people think they're on clearance.  >:(

Yeah, its a giant trick by Walmart, and the sad thing is, it sometimes works on people who have no clue.

Funny, that reminds me of the old KB Toys pricing strategy.  They put price stickers on toys saying $9.99, then use a red pen to cross it out and mark $7.99.  It was still a buck or two higher than Wal-Mart or Target pricing, but unfamiliar shippers thought they were getting a great deal.   ::)

They could always use TRU's "clearance" pricing stategy by increasing both the original price and the "clearance" price.

TRU.com has marked their basic figs down to $6.99 online.  Doesn't indicate any kind of "sale" price, so I'm wondering if their retail stores have lower pricing now as well.  Apparently they also have the BOGO packs, though it's a mixed bag of what you will get.

One of the two Walmarts I stopped at this am had fairly fully stocked pegs of figures, with flags marking them at $6 each.  Might be worth your time to stop in.

WM pricing generally varies, but it'd make sense that they're starting now nationwide trying to clear out the tons of figures (mostly Legends here) they've got to get rid of before August.  And I do believe it'd take till August and steeper discounts to get rid of these, haha.

My local WM has 2 separate Star Wars sections at this point.  One dedicated to all 3 lines jumbled together in a mess, and 1 that is a complete endcap of pegs with nothing but Legends.

yeah - coupled with the current TRU sale for Iron Man 2 figs (off SW topic sorry) of 2 for $10.99 - if you buy 4 figs at that price and use the coupon you are getting figures for $4.25 each!

Glad to hear these are back.  I was planning on 2 Iron Man figs at TRU with their BOGO sale, but looks like I'll try 4 now with the coupon.  Now if I can just find some SW stuff to buy out there.   :-\
