Enjoy the season, Go Lakers, and hopefully my fantasy league players do well.

Professional basketball still exists?

I guess that will depend on whether the league decides they are due or not.  Still really, really happy the Celtics won last year.  Still can't shake the feeling that the end result was predetermined.

Otherwise yeah, I'm interested, but as with most sports more from a fantasy perspective than anything else.  I prefer college basketball with all their quirky whatchamacallit, yeah, rules.

It looks like Allen Iverson is headed to Detroit, in exchange for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.

I caught that as a rumour earlier this morning :o

I could care less what happens to either team, but it could mean a monstrous impact for me for fantasy.  I know AI has PG by his name, but I just don't see him as a true PG.  I'd figured Carter would step in as the starter in Denver at PG and shift AI to SG with JR Smith coming off the bench.  Oops, guess Carter is back to the bench period with Billups going PG and probably putting Smith into the starting lineup for good.

Naturally I just traded away Brandon Roy in the effort of getting bigger because I figured I was ok with AI as a hybrid SG/PG and Miller as my pure PG, so I wanted to get bigger.  I still think the trade is beneficial, but whereas two weeks ago I felt loaded at PG, now I'm a little more anxious to say the least.

I'm not seeing AI as a good fit in Detroit.  Somebody tell me I'm wrong.

 :'(

Man it has been a ****** couple sports days here in Denver. The Broncos got embarassed (again) yesterday, The Avs dropped their game to the Sharks last night, and then this...

I like Billups, and I think he should hopefully be a good fit for this team but I'd still much rather have Iverson here. It sounds like McDyess probably won't ever even play here and will likely just get cut and resign with Detroit after 30 days. The Nuggets need to be looking at their coach, not all their players as the source of a great deal of thier problems...
