My Chewbacca Collection
« on: December 4, 2008, 05:29 AM »
I recently was able to display most of my collection in cases at the school where I teach. This is just a small taste and my personal favorite collection within a collection. I never have counted them. I am (alas) without any carded vintage, but have most manufactured Chewbacca action figures on card from POTF2 Orange/Red cards to the present. I have miscellaneous rare and odd collectibles too. Bootlegs, Pez, plush, Lego...

I will attempt to add my other collection pictures soon. Have been on hiatus from JD for almost 2 years. Good to be back and I am sure it will give the staff cause for a few words of disbelief to see my ugly mug back in the forums. A big hey to all you JD gods! You have kept the force stronger hear than I ever could have imagined. I am blown away and missed you all! Hope to be around from time to time and not such a phantom menace...

Best Chewbacca collection ever, but you're never gonna live it down from your students Thomas! :P

Wow, that's a very nice focus collection you have going there Thomas. I really enjoy seeing people's different focuses. I'd love to stop by and see it in person some time. (I'm up in FoCo) :)

Welcome back to JD.

And finally my most modern. Haven't done a lot lately. I do have a pretty cool Jedi Mickey Mouse collection, but it is not yet photographed.

I have never come across one. I would be in a straight jacket if I collected everything Chewie. I used to have Star Wars Underoos with the classic ANH Chewie and Han shooting out off the boarding deck before they escape Tatooine. So I do not have the Chewie Mighty Mug and the less I think about it the less I covet it. Ignorance is bliss...

Nice set up Thomas.  I like the display cases for everything.  Doesn't look like you ventured into the 30 AC or newer lines (with a few exceptions).  Can't wait to see the Mickey stuff (I have a few of those items as well....the Disney stuff is just too cool).

Where in Co are you at?  There's a few of us spread around the I-25 corridor, stretching from Ft Collins to the Springs (where I'm at).

I'm in Firestone - just east of I-25 and Longmont. Born and raised in Boulder and I teach in Loveland. My principal has been very accommodating and allows me to use these cases at school to show off all my collectible stuff and the kiddos eat it up. I currently have my massive comic book and sports collectibles and Mickey Mouse collection displayed there. I will take some photos and post them somewhere soon...
