After waffling back and forth on how I was going to handle this series (1x box, 1x MC, or in pieces via eBay), I finally decided to try my luck with a box of 12 at NCSX.  Since some of you lucked into chases with S10, it seems like a pretty honest place, so we'll see what happens...   :)

The boring (in my opinion) chases have sealed it for me.  I'm just going with buying the set individually on eBay (well hopefully a whole set of 6).  I hope to get these all for less than $100.

Was in Tokyo over the weekend and bought some boxes of the Fett collection.

Still scratching my head on why one of my McQuarries has the vintage gun?!?

Oooooooooh nice.  8)

Looks like that McQuarries was packed with the wrong weapon. Kinda like Kenner did factory errors back in the day.  :D

I see you have both the chases Fett's. That Fett with the green blaster, can you post a pic of the backside so I can see what the difference is from the other Fett's besides seeing the green cape on the right side. I really like to see what the backpack & missle looks like & any other parts.

Nice finds!  Did you purposely seek out and pay more for the chases or did you come across these at regular figure prices?  Out of curiousity, what does a basic box cost overseas in USD?

These are awesome!  I just got back from Japan myself and have a couple of the carded.  They are very cool!  I have one Chase, the vintage Fett as well!  Very excited to get it!

Will the chases be carded as well, or will they only be found in the boxes?

I guess this is the last chase figure. I'm not a vintage collector, but it reminds me of a "first shot" prototype.

Yeah, that's the "L" slot Rocket Fett proto.  Nice.  I love Medicom's attention to detail.

I'd love either of the Rocket Fett chase figures.  It'll be interesting to see the box ratios on these or what the eBay prices settle out to.

They are in tune to the vintage stuff, i would have prefered the other prototype as the chase though.

OK, so let's see... the current info we have says:

Boba Fett (Vintage Toy) = 3:12
Boba Fett (Black & White) = 3:12
Boba Fett (Holiday Special) = 2:12
Boba Fett (Droids) = 2:12
Boba Fett (Mcquarrie) = 1:12
Boba Fett (Mcquarrie/Johnston) = 1:12
Boba Fett (J-Slot Rocket Fett) = ?:96  {found in the Vintage Toy Fett box}
Boba Fett (L-Slot Rocket Prototype) = ?:96  {found in the Vintage Toy Fett box}
Boba Fett (Vintage Colors) = ?:96  {found in the Black & White Fett box}

So, if the case ratios that have been reported are accurate, it looks the three chases are being found in boxes for 3:12 ratio figures.  That should mean that none of the figures end up short-shipped in a Master Case (ie no chases in a 1:12 box).

Now we just have to wait for the mega-sellers to start grinding out listings so we can confirm which are the 1:96 chases and which are the "easy" chases.

That's great news for those that want to get a box of 12.

These chases are the easiest passes for me yet.  (Edit:  Oops, didn't click the link above to realize the chase was all one color like the prototype.  That's kind of cool but likely still a pass for me).

Out of curiousity, for those that will track them down, how are you going to display them?  The only difference in the L and J rockets are the backs of the figures.  Are you going to display them backwards??

I still think that these chases are kind of boring, but I like the L-Slot Fett better than the others.  Seriously considering cancelling my box of 12 order from NCS and just getting the basic set.  But there's always the possibility of pulling a chase...  I guess I still have a few days to decide...

Yeah, to be honest the chases do nothing for me. I may try and get a set of 6 at some point, but there's no way I'm getting even a box of 12.
