HLJ is SOL now, they put an order stop so they would not over sell.

BBTS ($194.99): Star Wars Boba Fett Collection Kubricks

NCSX ($165.90): Star Wars Kubrick Boba Fett Collection

A majority from here went with NCSX as it's closer to home for the US gang. I think I'm the only one that went with HLJ.

Dang. I don't know if I can swing $165 with the Sideshow Vader coming out soon too. I guess these will have to go on my wishlist for awhile.

What was HLJ charging per box?

After the early bird preorder, 15,360 yen so about $157.15 US.

I got in on the EB preorder so for me on the one box, 14,592 yen or about $148.65 US.

Sorry if I missed this, but does anyone know the release date in Japan on these?
I think my friend is waiting to send me these along with Series 10.

Late June is about as specific as it gets.  As mentioned in the other thread my friend in Japan hasn't received any word from Medicom that they have shipped or when it will happen.

NCSX also told me last week of June when I called the other day.  Of course, it's an expected date and these are Kubricks, so could be anytime between now and December.   :P

Medicom website still lists 6/30 as the date...  which is the day after the Parco show is over (6/22 -2/29).

Like others have said earlier in the thread, if that date is correct, I would not be surprised to see some of these pop up early on eBay thanks to Parco show attendee purchases.

I've been doing a lot of pondering on the Boba Fett Collection, the price rise from Medicom and poor exchange rates, and the "lack" of standard chase assortments.  It has led me to the conclusion that I'm not all that interested in trying to buy a Master Case for this collection.  I don't think I want to take a 1/4 (or perhaps its more like 1/6 or 1/8) chance at pulling a rare chase out of a box of 12.  I think I'm going to stick to eBay for this assortment.  I'll be happy with a basic set of 6 and perhaps a common chase if they settle into the $35-45 range.  The rare chases would have to blow me away for me to spend the kind of scratch I'm thinking it will cost me to go after them.

I'll continue buying a single box of a series that I like, but the math just doesn't work out anymore.  $250 for two rare chase, $25 for the common chase (after prices settle out) and being generous $50 for a set of six and dropping $500 doesn't make any sense.  I still have commons from Series 7 and 8 that I've never unloaded so why bother?  If I were in an area say like Minnesota where I could more easily move singles, then yeah, maybe  ;)

I think the Fett collection might be one where you could sell (spare) stuff off fairly easily, but even at that, I'll stick to my one box just for the fun and excitement of having a shot at a chase figure.  But those odds are low for sure.  I've ordered 5 single boxes I think and didn't get a chase until series 9 with the two yellow clones.  I know others that have had better luck though, but it is still a crap shoot.

I do still hope for some chase in the Fett collection, even though they'll be pricey if they aren't in my box of 12.  They could be quite cool.  I believe they'll be there and I'm getting fired up about this especially since I didn't order anything from Series 10.

Don't know if this has been posted here or not, but one of the chases is apparently based on an early Kenner figure with a launching missile.
