Did they pay off that piece of **** ump in Left Field.  Holy ****...that was the worst call I have EVER seen

Not that the Yankees should not have won...you don't leave 12 people on base...but HOLY ****...that was terrible...absolutely terrible

I absolutely, positively HATE it when announcers say things like, "Nathan hasn't allowed a Home Run yet this year."  Why do they say stuff like that, they know they're tempting fate.  AAAARRRRGHHH!   :'(

Friggin' Joe Nathan.   >:(  Friggin' leaving all sorts of guys on base.  I think it was the 4th when the Yankees put two guys on base for us with HBP... and nothing.  Then in the 5th, 2 walks... and nothing.   ::)  So many chances to put it away, and nothing.

I think Mark Texeira's walkoff HR tonight may be yet another positive mark for him in the march toward the AL MVP.

MVP voting already took place...no comment on the real MVP getting ****** in the ass by the blind umpire?

Just saw the replay.  That ball hit on the line, but the ump blew the call.  It happens.  It was  in the shadow cast by the wall onto the field.

Does that one play mean the game?  We'll never know.  Lobby for replay to be adopted by Major League Baseball.  Or ask the Twins to protest the game.

Hit on the line?? It was fair by a foot!  A foot!  With the Ump looking right at it

I watched a realtime replay.  It was pretty tough to judge the exact placement of the ball when I saw that.  And that's the human element of officiating.  The ump blew the call.

Where are the Twins on this?  Gardenhire was talking tough about it in the postgame press conference.  What about during the game?  What about playing the game under protest?

We can all argue about this until we're blue in the face.  It's not going to change the outcome of game 2.

The Twins stranded 17 runners during the game.  Sure I don't like when umpires blow calls, but no team should complain about a single call when they had 17 other opportunities to win the game.

Besides, does anyone think the Twins are going to upset the Yankees?

And if you think I'm just saying this because I'm a Yankee fan, I made a similar comment 7 years ago when the Giants blew a playoff game against the 49'ers with a bad call on a field goal at the end of the game.  They blew a huge lead in that game.

I'm not complaining that the Twins should have won...they had lots of opportunities.  I am complaining that an Ump can miss a critical call that badly
