I can't take the credit for that - I got a text from Captain_Piet - he let me know - so he's the one everyone should be thanking...

I also just got my shipping notification from Target.com too - so my Republic Attack Dropships are gonna be here by mid-week next week. Nice!

I made a rare Target run tonight and saw the Dropship again too. I'm good with 3 though, so I left it for the next lucky soul. It is a sweet little ship, no doubt.

I will have 3 when it's all said and done.  May buy a 4th if i see it, but I'm probably good on 3.  I like its concept a lot...  Could see it being called a "Wasp" or something.  Looks like a little bug.

So, as 2012 comes to a close and we look back, we solved the mystery of the missing Walmart DVD 2-packs, and then the mystery of the missing Mandalorian Assault Transports...

but WTF happened to all those Scout Bombers?!?!

These NEVER ended up appearing at any discount outlets that I am aware of, and they had such a limited presence at retail I can't help but wonder if there is a huge pile of them sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

I literally only saw this thing on a shelf once, and that was many months after it came out as part of some random old wave restock at TRU. HTS never seemed to re-stock it after that first batch they got.

I guess it could still show up at some point seeing as how the Freeco Speeder and whatnot is still coming in at Ross and Marshall's, but I'm not holding my breath. Just seems odd, this has to be one of the rarest toys in the line ever.

I only ever saw one as well. Bought it and never opened it. Can I retire off it yet?

Maybe they'll do an OT repaint with rebel pilot and astro mech.

It may not have been produced in high quantities.  There's usually a minimum but many people reported finding it at least once...  Not me, but I saw lots of reports at Target then TRU around the country, so I'd imagine if it doesn't show somewhere that they just didn't make many and it could actually wind up being one of the actual rare items of the line.

My local buddy Jim sold me his loose one because he didn't like it, and I'm thankful he did since I never got a sniff of this, nor even the Drop ship, at a local store.  Ordered those off the net.

I was disappointed to find only a single Y-Wing Scout Bomber at retail.  I think it was far and away one of the best mini-rigs of the year, and it was nearly impossible to find.  But I get the feeling that the first wave of SOTDS mini-rigs wound up being placeholders at retail while Hasbro scrambled to get the new designs produced.  It's like the Episode II Action Fleet scenario all over again!
