Did anyone else hear/read any body else saying this was found?

Not personally.  But I just checked the slideshow from Hasbro's presentation, and it said that the Octuptarra droid would be out for September 1st.

Yes, one of the posters on Jedi Insider's forums claimed to have picked this up recently at a Walmart in Chicago. I have asked for additional details (pics, sku#, etc) but so far no response.

I think 9/5 was the release data on the display case placard at SDCC...so hopefully these start showing up soon.

I have wanted one of these bad boys since Ani jumped on top of one in the CW movie.

I picked up 2 on Friday, they are all over Chicago now. All I have to say is WOW!!! You will never believe how big this guy is until you take it out of the box and assemble it. This is one of the most impressive vehicles to date and in my opinion the most formidable looking separatist vehicle. I think I may bUy 2 more to have 4 to take on the AT-TE's.

At first I was lukewarm on this but that has changed, one of my favorite SW vehicles to date. I highly recommend plunking down the $35, it's really worth it!

I'm hoping for two...  I'll be ok with that.  They seemed to travel in pairs.

Jesse, for someone who is really into scale I think you are going to like this one. I cannot wait to get two more to have an army of four. While vehicle prices are sucking lately and deco is less than before the current vehicles are getting better in terms of sculpt/function and quality. I was at first turned off buy the $35 price point but when you see this out of the box it's impressive and justified.

As a Toy Designer I am really impressed how this is packed out. The package designer and engineer deserve a major kudos. While most here cannot appreciate (or even notice) how much work goes into the pack out this one is a home run in terms of keepinp the same footprint as the regular assortment.

ugh, I want this thing SO badly...ZERO sightings here in VA though. I am hitting up 3 Wal-Marts at lunch with high hopes. This looks every bit as cool as it did at SDCC!

I found this earlier today at one of my local Wal-Marts, and it's every bit as impressive as the photo Ghost posted makes it out to be.  Very tall, very sturdy (at least initially), and the action features (firing guns and "cockpit") don't detract at all from the appearance.  I try to restrict my army building, and I've never done any army building with a "vehicle" before, but between this and the Vulture Droid, it's really hard not to do so.

These have supposedly hit around here, but with the Evo's also hitting, I'll probably pit off buying this for now.

Queston - are these being stocked right on the shelf with the other starfighters? Or are they part of an endcap display?

I figure with the increased price they would have their own section on the aisle, but I haven't seen a single WM around here clearing space or putting a price tag out for this yet. We seem really behind the curve.
