I felt pretty dumb trying to get past some of the puzzles...but that's also half the fun.

It boiled down to me not pressing B out of combat mode...  Because I never ever did that ever in the game, so I didn't know to do it, and it just really was dumb of me.  I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how I was supposed to open/beat on the door or open the containers, or work the computer consoles and whatnot.  Very stupid.

I did "cheat" every once in a while because some of the side quests involved complex mathematics, which while I've had a lot of accounting over the years including some higher level complex accounting, I haven't had a lot of high level math classes like Calc or Trig and stuff, and there was some really tough math to some of those puzzles I found.  I wasn't happy about that, haha.

I got my degree in applied math so I've seen most of the math puzzles before.

Are you playing the X-box version?  I only ever played it on PC.  I have KOTOR II for X-box, but can't seem to get it to work on my 360....but I haven't really messed with it.
This is the way.

It should work now Matt. It wasn't supported there for awhile but it was included in one of the last patches. My brother just went back through and played both I and II on 360.

Oddly enough....I tried it again today on a lark and it worked just fine!  Kind of different using the x-box controller as oppesed to a keyboard and mouse, but it's still a great game!

Please a Question for those who owns KOTOR 1 on PC... I have them both on XBOX & KOTOR II on PC, but I want the PC v. of KOTOR 1

I own KOTOR II on PC, the one I have is the old Carded box like, wich include  "keyboard Map card"

However I saw there in the store also KOTOR II in Plastic Hard case wich not include the "Keyboard Map"

The way I know is that the Store has them new, but they take the cd's away so people couldn't steal it.

To My Question:

1) Input methods: can u really use gamepad on both? <--- OK Wiki does say

2) does KOTOR #1 include the "Keyboard Map"?

I saw that they have the 1st issue of KOTOR in carded box (not the later hard plastic case), but when I opened it to see if all stuff was in it, I didn't found the "Keyboard Map" that KOTOR II does include  ??? stolen?... if you happen to own the old carded box one, please state if it does come or not with it, cuz I really dont like to buy an incomplete item cuz its quite a collectible for me.

I couldn't find a photo reference on Ebay cuz everyone use internet photos...

but here is my example of K-2 Keyboard map

Thanks in advance, apreciate your help.

I'll have to dig up the box to check.  Of course that means finding it after three moves.    :o

I'm pretty sure the original box version did come with one though.

Thanks Matt, not need to check, I went up again 2 the store for  fear that I maight not see again the game, I digged up the book, and it does come printed in the book itself, not like Kotor II that does has an extra card of the keyboard map... I didn't expected something like that cuz all my sim's etc came in the extra card...

Now I have to have fun with it & try the online mods, now that for Xbox such thing doesn't exist  :)

I hope that the new Old Republic game be as good as these.

Thanks again Matt  :)

Yeah not sure WHY I like this so much, but I do...  My gf's iPad will come in handy finally.  Forget candy crush and words with friends.

I downloaded KOTOR for my iPad the other night.  The game is the single biggest file on my iPad, and that's a little bit of a pain.  But so far, it plays pretty much like the PC version with only a couple of minor differences.
