The He-Store is now open. They're selling the swag by-the-case, but after the holidays, they're going to sell them individually.

There's a blurb on the .org's main page that's quite interesting, especially if you're looking forward to owning Clawful and his oft-mentioned ilk.

All in all, good news on the MOTU front for once.

Looky at that. The newest article on the .org states that '...Mattel isn't moving as quickly as we liked..."

Leave it to that company to screw up a good thing.

And now direct from he-man.org's main page:

"Mattel has still not shipped the Snake Men wave, which made up the bulk of our orders from fans and collectors. If any of you were hoping we might be able to ship orders before the holidays, we doubt that will happen unless Mattel works a holiday miracle. The He-Store, for this first few rounds of orders, will ultimately use the 4 week window specified in the Shipping Policy. Our apologies!"

Surprise, surprise. Guess I won't be getting my Roboto case for Christmas after all.

Well, guess I'm gonna cancel that order and sink the money into those IKON Buffy exclusives now.

Well, I'm one figure closer to being done with this line. BBTS has Khan in stock, so I ordered one and a Buffy figure.

Just need to find Roboto again and that'll be it. This line cannot possibly continue now that Target and Wal-Mart don't carry it anymore.

Still waiting to pull the trigger on a Khan.  It doesn't look good though for MOTU with the resets at Target and Wal Mart happening and no space for MOTU on the shelves.   A MN guy at .org who works at Target says the Snakemen are in the computers...we'll see I guess

Yeah, I noticed this past weekend as well that there was no space at Target for MOTU.  The one we frequent also had gone through its resets, and had a lot of spaces for other new stuff (ML5 was there, Spidey 2 figs, a few Ultra figs but now Wampa :(, and others.  The MOTU figures they did previously have are now in the clearance aisle.  I'm still just mainly keeping my eyes open for a Roboto, otherwise I have really cooled off on this line.  Plus, I really don't have the space for it anyways....so I think its just going to be Roboto (hopefully), and I'm done with it.

Doesn't sound good, I think I read the cartoon wasn't picked up, the He-Store isn't getting their orders filled, no shelf space at Target or Wal Mart...so long He-Man, it was a good run.  Stoopid Mattel

This sucks. They sold every Commerative figure they made--wouldn't it have made sense to sell to that very same market rather than kids who obviously never liked it? I'm willing to bet this becomes an example in high school level business classes about how NOT to run a multinational. Ignore fans, market to the wrong demographic(and never fix it), and ignore the wants and needs of the retailers, which is obviously the worst thing you can do.

I have a brief thread at the .org about maybe Mattel allowing NECA to do the action figures, and JVS3 (you know, Mr. Honcho and author of the MOTU comic) said that Mattel wouldn't do it, simply because it will look bad to the stockholders and retailers.  So, because of Mattel's pride, fans suffer more. Grab your ankles and have courage, MOTU fans, because the worst part is yet to come, I'm sure.

Rant over.  >:(

Wow, amazing how a rant will kill a thread, huh?

Anyway, with all these clearances, I've been able to pick up custom fodder. So far, I've bought an Orko, Trapjaw, and regular He-Man, and made some really awesome customs. I made an Evil Orko, based on a fan-fic I wrote where Orko became Skeletor's familiar.  I blackwashed the Trapjaw and added some painted-on blood to his hook and claw. It's neat. it's my favorite work too.
And the He-Man- I made a battle-worn version, with a lot of black mud and soot, and scrapes and cuts on his body. I also painted on blood to his sword and axe, to a chilling effect. It's certainly my most ambitious custom, but I'd have to post pics so you can see what I'm talking about. How do I go aobut that? I've got them on my computer, but I don't have the first clue about posting them here.

They're pretty big. Proving that I'm a complete dumbass when it comes to this glowing box, I can't figure out how to resize 'em. Should I send anyway?
