Aha! The winner is all D&D aesthetics given a sc-fi nip and tuck - but people like her and to them i say "Well done sir!" (as i repeatedly bash my head against the net book.)  :)

Edit - even if people have voted for OT instead of EU they are still voting outside bets eg Evazan and Vimdin lower than Flyhead.

Best way to understand the poll.

Especially Tzizvvt, which I think was the biggest waste of poll space and should never even appear on Hasbro's radar.

Speak for yourself.  I love the fact Tzizvvt made it and I'd prefer ANY Cantina Alien, even the most obscure, "only in the photo stills/holiday special and not actually in the movie" type ones over any video game character, prequel queen, handmaiden, or Jedi librarian types.  Different strokes for different folks and all that I guess.     :)

Agreed. Any OT, even crap like Willrow Hood is better than Jaxxon. Good think I'm not a completist, if that **** get's made I'll skip it on clearance.

Crap?  I will take a character who was actually on screen and has a fun fan-based back story to his character over some goofy rabbit any day of the week and twice on Sundays.   >:(  Even if you don't like the figure/character, it's great to see Hasbro going all out to support the collectors on something like this versus some arbitrary poll with no safeguards for tampering.

In the spirit of "who did we get from poll X results?", it's time for an update...

11) Weequay Skiff Master  3.5%
16) Rebel Fleet Trooper  2.4%
17) Bom Vimdin  2.4%
28) Dr. Evazan  1%

Yet to be Made (24 of 30):
2) Jocasta Nu 10%
3) Darth Caedus  8%
4) Darth Plageuis  7.9%
5) Jaxxon  4%
6) Admiral Pellaeon  3.7%
7) Dash Rendar  3.7%
8 ) Guri  3.6%
9) Dorme  3.5%
12) Tzizvvt  2.9%
13) Kittster and Wald 2.8%
14) Toryn Farr  2.6%
15) Cane Adiss  2.4%
18) Cliegg Lars  2.3%
19) Joruus C’Baoth  2.3%
20) Grand Moff Torkin  2.1%
21) Ben-Quadinaros  2.1%
22) Darth Sidious  1.9%
23) Queen Apailana  1.8%
24) Tey How  1.8%
25) Sim Aloo  1.7%
26) Sgt. Doallyn  1.5%
27) Taym Dren-Garen  1.3%
29) Corde  0.8%
30) Queen Jamilla  0.7%

So, 6 planned for 2011 and 24 yet to go... of course, it should be noted that quite a few of those remaining 24 have been rumored for 2011/12 as well (Tarkin, Toryn, Quadrinaros, Kister/Wald).

I'd like someone to ask Hasbro what their plans are with this...took a while to even get the stuff we are getting this year and they don't seem too hip on the rest.

Something about the fan interaction with Hasbro in the current Haslab campaign jogged my memory about the past Fan Choice Figure Polls.  And it's interesting to see where we are now with all of the characters that were candidates in the polls over the years.  Copying my previous work and elaborating a bit here:

Fan's Choice Figure Poll #1 - 2000
The Contestants
Ellors Madak - Duros - A New Hope POLL WINNER! - POWER OF THE JEDI - 2001
Amanaman - Return Of The Jedi
Bom Vimdim - A New Hope
Eeth Koth - The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones
Teemto Pagalies - The Phantom Menace

ANALYSIS - As you can see, Ellors Madak was the winner.  He was issued as part of the Power Of The Jedi line.  This was actually one of the first figures to feature a functional weapon holster.

The other contestant actually fared pretty well:
-Eeth Koth - POWER OF THE JEDI - 2001
-Teemto Pagalies - SAGA - 2002
-Amanaman - POWER OF THE JEDI deluxe figure & Fan's Choice Figure Poll # 2 winner - 2001
-Bom Vimdim - THE VINTAGE COLLECTION 1.0 - 2011

Fan's Choice Figure Poll #2 - 2001
The Contestants
Amanaman - Return Of The Jedi WINNER! - POWER OF THE JEDI deluxe figure - 2001

Yarael Poof - The Phantom Menace
Major Bren Derlin - The Empire Strikes Back
Admiral Ozzel - The Empire Strikes Back
Ben Quadrinaros - The Phantom Menace

ANALYSIS - The second round of the Fan's Choice Poll was very much a reactionary response to the first poll.  Rumors of hacking the first time around were rampant, especially with Amanaman having a late surge in votes.  That may have given Amanaman an edge going into this round of voting, and he came out the victor in the second poll.  However, Amanaman was a little too large for a basic figure card, and was issued as part of Power Of The Jedi's Deluxe figure line.

Here's how the others performed over time:
-Yarael Poof - SAGA - Jedi Council #2 3-pack - 2003
-Major Bren Derlin - THE SAGA COLLECTION - 2006
-Admiral Ozzel - SAGA - 2004
-Ben Quadrinaros - THE VINTAGE COLLECTION - 2012

Fan's Choice Figure Poll #3 - 2001
The Contestants
Ephant Mon - Return Of The Jedi - WINNER - SAGA 2002!

General Carlist Riekkan - The Empire Strikes Back
R1-G4 - A New Hope
Twi'lek Masseuse - The Phantom Menace
Even Piell - The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones

ANALYSIS - Ephant Mon came out the winner this time, although this poll was once again mired with accusations of hacking.  Votes mysteriously kept going to the Twi'lek masseuse much to the chagrin of many a fanboy.  Ephant Mon eventually came out as part of the SAGA line's basic figure assortment in 2002.  It "weighed in" as quite possibly the heaviest basic figure to ever be part of the line.  It was also probably among the most HTF figures in the SAGA line, but also in the history of the Fan's Choice Poll.  Word is that Hasbro actually took a loss on producing this figure.  As for the other candidates?

General Carlist Riekkan - SAGA Ultra Figure - 2004
R1-G4 - SAGA - 2004
Twi'lek Masseuse - The Phantom Menace - NEVER PRODUCED!
Even Piell - SAGA Jedi Council 3-pack # 1 - 2003

Fan's Choice Figure Poll #4 - 2002
The Contestants
McQuarrie concept Stormtrooper - WINNER - SAGA 2003
Imperial Dignitary - Return Of The Jedi
General Carlist Riekkan - The Empire Strikes Back
Captain Nym - The Battle For Naboo video game
Rebel Commando in Scout Trooper disguise - Return Of The Jedi

ANALYSIS - The Ralph McQuarrie concept Stormtrooper was the winner this time around.  His victory was a first for Star Wars figures, being the first figure to be based off concept sketches and not having appeared in the movies or TV shows.  This figure was issued as part of the SAGA line during the gold card phase.  Two variations of this figure exist, with one having the lightsaber held high, and the other with the lightsaber held low.  Here's how everyone else fared:

Imperial Dignitary - SAGA - 2003
General Carlist Riekkan - SAGA Ultra Figure - 2004
Captain Nym - The Battle For Naboo video game - NEVER PRODUCED
Rebel Commando in Scout Trooper disguise - LEGACY COLLECTION - 2008, THE VINTAGE COLLECTION - 2023

Fan's Choice Figure Poll #5 - 2003
The Contestants
Captain Antilles - A New Hope - CO-WINNER - SAGA - 2004
General Jan Dodonna - A New Hope - CO-WINNER - SAGA - 2004

Rabe - The Phantom Menace
Yarua - The Phantom Menace
Ben Quadrinaros - The Phantom Menace

ANALYSIS - On this occassion the voting was so close that Hasbro deemed that both Captain Antilles and General Dodonna were co-winners.  However it was only Captain Antilles that bore the Fan's Choice winner designation on the packaging.  Both of these figures were issued on the SAGA gold cards.  As for the others:

Rabe - Post-OTC - 2005
Yarua - Post-OTC - 2005
Ben Quadrinaros - THE VINTAGE COLLECTION - 2012

-Jacen Solo - THE LEGACY COLLECTION - 2009

Fan's Choice Figure Poll #7 - Saga Legends - 2007
This poll asked the Star Wars collecting community to pick a number of existing figures for possible reissues in the 30th Anniversary Collection subline - SAGA LEGENDS.  Collecting sites were asked to conduct their own polls, and to submit their top ten figure reissue candidates to Hasbro.  Hasbro distilled that list down to 20 figures for the community to pick from.  Here were the contestants:

-Chewbacca (Early Bird kit) - THE SAGA COLLECTION - 2005

Interesting to see that most things eventually got made over the years.  Thanks for going through all that, Nick.

Out of this list, Admiral Pellaeon might finally have a shot thanks to his appearance in Rebels, then turning up in holo-form in The Mandalorian, and definitely possible for the Ahsoka show.  Helps that he's basically just a new headsculpt for their new Imp Officer buck too.

The rest of the list... woof.  Not impossible but would take a lot to get any of them made.  I sure would like to get Tzizvvt made though I know that's a steep ask too these days since he'd need so much new tooling.

I was stunned to see the progress through all of those lists.  Almost EVERY candidate in the polls up until 2006 had been made except for 5 of them. I'm not holding out hope for the Twi'lek masseuse(s) and Captain Nym - they were both a product of their times!  It was also funny to see how many times Ben Quadrinaros was in the running and lost.  Hasbro finally took pity on him and released him in TVC, albeit in the wave that was credited for being the beginning of the end of TVC 1.0.

The 2009 poll has the most gaps, and I agree - woof indeed!  The chances of most of those being made are extremely slim.  But I agree that Pelleaon is a point of hope in light of where stories are going in the Mandoverse.  It was also cool to see that we just got one of those candidates knocked off of the list in Taym Dren-Garen.  And I think there's still some hope for Sim Aloo.
